- Just one day before we left, I had a subscriber ask for an empty house tour. I thought it might be too late for that but our buyers loan was delayed by a day and a half. Sooooo.... I walked through my beautiful old home and said goodbye in my heart as I talk to y'all about the house. After we look through the home and the shed, I take you into our RV and give you a brief tour. It turned out that it was a good thing to be made to wait in our motorhome just a little while so our cats could acclimate a little bit before we actually started driving. Poor darlings. But the puttytats are okay.

You are right, Ivah! Not only the house but everything else I've done on this channel. It's going to be rather a mosaic of the things I really did in my life for the past four years. If my children miss me after I'm gone someday, they can turn into this channel to hear my voice. 😁👍🏻🕊️
I’ve moved more times than I can count in my life. But the feeling of saying goodbye to a house never stops being bittersweet, no matter how exciting the adventure ahead. The memories buried in the walls of a home can never be taken from you. That’s the one thing to remember. But it’s always hard.

I think it's wonderful that you're having that response. So many have expressed similar sentiment. But I have good news! I have found a house! It's a fixer-upper. It needs a lot of work. But it is very cute and it's in a perfect location. My husband will be able to work wonders on it. Because we got a house that needs a lot of work we were able to afford to buy it without a loan. We will own it out right use our spare cash from the sale of our old house to fix it up. I am blissfully happy my dear friend. I love you so much. 🤗💕💕💕

I TOTALLY love the picture of you and your husband at the end. You look so good together. Such a beautiful couple 😊 We can tell that both of you took very good care of your house. Don't know if it's a century house (sure looks like it) but it looks so neat and clean. I'm sure a lot of memories were lived in this house but you'll be able to make new ones in your new house. Thank you for sharing this sad moment (well I call it sad when you have to leave a house you lived in for a long period of time) but it might be a happy one for you. If I leave the house I live in now .... I would be so miserable (been living here for 44 years ... even though I left for a few months but had to come back to make sure both my parents were ok since they were getting older and now a caregiver for my mother since my father passed away in 2009). Gosh, I feel a bit sad. I bet it was hard to leave your home but......on to new adventures! Are you going to look for another historic home in California? I love your retro motorhome. It's the perfect size for two (plus two cute kitties). Are you visiting family now? 😊
You are so sweet, Samantha. Well, all of our plans got changed by dumb bureaucracy. Jerry and I had to hightail it to California immediately. That is because we found out that without a residential address, we are not covered by our insurance companies for either my health or our motorhome. It's absurd. Fortunately for us, when we arrived on Susanville California, we fell in love. We already have an offer on a house that has been accepted. It's not an historic home but it is in the older district. It's a cute little fixer-upper that we are able to buy out right. No mortgage!! I wish I could do these videos in real time. But all of my uploads are going to be a week or two delayed. There were some bright moments on the trip but some definite difficulties as well as you will see in tomorrow's upload if you tune in.
Honestly, the twinge of sadness did not last long as I am so happy to be back in California. I have already had a chance to visit with my daughter. I'm just a little bummed that I couldn't stop in Montana to see my new great grandchild and my family there. It will have to wait. 🥹

@samanthabrakefield590 Mostly Southern California is your experience, I gather. Susanville is Northern California in the mountains. People don't go there to visit. But if you're a Northern Californian you may happen upon it. It's quaint and cute. Lots of snow. 😅❄️👍🏻

Ahhhh Rebecca, it's always hard to leave with all those happy memories you made there. We live in an 160 year old house in England, and we call the trim round the floor Skirting Board, as ours is a Victorian house, our skirting boards are very deep, all original and I love them, also very high ceilings.

You could've blown me over with a feather when you said you guys were moving back here. I'm happy for you, hubby and the fur babies, to have lots more time with your children and grands. Jenn, I am so incredibly happy to be back home in sunny California. I have cried so many times and I have even hugged a pine tree! I've gotten to visit with my daughter who came up from Chico. My sister (from Paradise) is coming up soon! Remind me where you are at in California.
@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction Hiya! My family lives in Corona in Riverside County. Lived in different counties but never up North, although I've wanted to. Tahoe and Burlingame are gorgeous. Hubby and I love San Fran but haven't been in ages. We are about an hour from everywhere, L.A., the beaches and mountains and wine country. It's nice here but getting pricey. My parents moved us here as kids and bought their new build for around 150k in the 90's....imagine? 4 bed, 3 bath, with a loft, huge, now it's worth a little over 900k now, but my parents only had it for a year before foreclosure. Sad. Anyway I am so happy that you guys have your house squared away because this market is WILD LOL. ❤

I'm glad you shared that! I was sad to leave the house. Wish I could've moved it where I live now. However, I do not miss the town and I have not looked back. I'm so happy to be back home in California. Yours is a bit of a different situation, but life moves on doesn't it! 🤗💕
