I worked in the utility industry for over 40 years and have worked ice storms, hurricanes, tornadoes and wildfires. It is not uncommon to be without power for a week, 10 days, or multiple weeks depending on the damage and the ability to get equipment, manpower and materials where it is needed. If you don't have a month worth of supplies and a source of water for you and your animals, then you are going to be quickly dependent on someone who may or may not be there to help you. Use your head, that's what God gave it to you for. Thank you for helping those in need and those who for whatever reason cannot help themselves.
My niece is police chief in Zebulon N.C. She has been coordinating to send volunteers to the hard-hit areas. she is worn out. God bless you and all in North Carolina.
What a great job you have as it lets you do something very important to help others thru a reputable organization when a catastrophe comes. Keep serving others.
Hello 👋 Chuck, first thing my wife and I would like to do is thank you for your service in your capacity. You and the people you work with are a blessing for those in need 🙏. Thankfully here in western Tennessee we weren’t effected by the storm. We were blessed to have been able to get through unscathed. Please be safe and blessings to you and your family 👍💪🙌🌈✌️
I live in Buncombe County. Very fortunate. We appreciate all that are helping. My heart goes out to those who have lost everything or someone through this.
I am in Texas so we are used to it and are ready, this year we lost power for 10 days in Barryl. You do need to be ready and have back up systems. Even more if you are in rural area you are the last ones they will get to.
I had a 45 minute flood from a burst pipe in my kitchen that flooded also the finished basement. It took five months before my house was back to somewhat normal between mitigation, demo, and repairs. Insurance paid over 50k and I paid out several thousand myself. I can’t even imagine what’s happened out there. But it’s going to take a long time …
I'm glad you came through the storm pretty well. Speaking of sleeping during the day, I sleep much better through the day than the night. I'm a night owl, and before retirement, I always tried working midnights. Take care and God bless
Hi chuck. Think about burying a tank up above your house, pumping up to it and let gravity be your pressure. We do this with a propane tankless WH and “weather “ the power outages fine.
Great job Chuck. It is people like you that are such a big help in an emergency. I am glad you mentioned about the gofundme. Most of them are going to the wrong people. We had one here that just went through the courts. He managed to get over $60,000 for a family who's daughter was murdered by her boyfriend. Then he spent it on gambling instead of giving it to them for funeral service and other things.
Thank you for what you do for the citizens of NC and surrounding areas. Glad you and yours are safe and donations of money and clothing are on its way thru the Salvation Army. Prayers
Pinball is a great one! They have already taken stuff that was needed and will be taking more. He always shows you him buying everything and delivery and receipts
So sad to see some of my favorite areas suffering so much!!! Found a reputable place to make direct donation for goods. Keeping everyone in prayer! I’ll just have to watch older videos to get my “fix”🙂 you take care of the people who need it so much down there. We were on vacation down in the Galax area the week before and drove down through part of nc across 18 through Sparta and west then back up through independence. Spent a day in fries fishing. Again breaks my heart… last year we stayed in mountain city traveled through so many of the hard hit areas as we look for our place to retire and just love the entire area. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤❤❤hope your mom and grandma are ok too and Lansing!
Thankful you guys are okay. Looking for a cattle farm in the flooded area to share some hay with. Let us know if you know of anyone in our/your area. Blessings
For east Tennessee, the only SAFE donation is to Pinball Preparedness channel. Patara from Appalachia's Homestead has joined him, and 30-40 other YT volunteers delivered $50K of supplies yesterday to Newport, and more coming!! Glad y'all are safe, Chuck! 🙏🏻💪🙏🏻
I wanna head over to East tn Sunday, fill my truck with water, im in pall mall tn….. any chance you have a contact for pinball or patara?? I don’t mind helping nc…but rather try and help my home state first.
@@xkitchick - Pinball's email should be in the description section of his vids (can't link here). His wife is running errands today, so he should be home today!
Patara has a channel Appalachian Homestead. Pinball has a channel too. - They haven't said it but consider gallon waters cause you can get more water for less money; people are still going to need water.
I donated to Mercury One (Glenn Beck) because 100% of the donations go to Hurricane Helene relief. No don't know which states will be helped, but I wanted the money to go to the people.

The workers that keep my power on, water flowing and pick up my refuge are appreciated more than any other government services.
Ugh, working nights is hard. I drive a truck at night. Thankfully it’s only about an 8 hr shift and I have no major cities to travel through.
Chuck, we are glad that you and Sandra are doing OK. We are sending lots of prayers your direction.

Google and then contact one of the churches in the damaged areas. That's your best bet.
Ryan Hall Yall on youtube has such a good nonprofit. He has semi's filled from his subscribers. 100% goes to those who need it.

People should be doing rain catchment if you’re allowed in your area. Animals need a lot of water.
