The installing contractor did a very nice job on the gas piping plus the insulated union for cathodic protection (very nice, almost no one does that properly ).
Ive had this exact problem, after talking to our supplier it was two possibilities. It coukd be either a bad control board or software on the board. Minor corrosion on any part of the board would cause issues. Anyway I enjoyed seeing the time being taken to test the safety switches. I would bet this is a corroded board as if there was a safety issue the display would indicate said sensor having a problem.
I would have taken static, dynamic, manifold gas pressure readings, check the size of the gas meter and make sure that gas line is a dedicated line to the heater. If the incoming gas supply is the issue, after three attempts to fire it will lock out the pad.
Yeah, check the pressures as well. I wasn’t trying to drag out the service call and the video as associated with it. But I can tell you we have 5 inches of water column.
did you see the size of the gas pipe coming out of the ground? then what it reduced to more than once to meet the peanut size heater inlet (in comparison). I would say it should flow around three times what the heater requires, as long as the feed end can supply it. looks plumbed to supply two heaters or other outdoor fire features, grills, etc.
Mikey, stupid question: With your vast pool knowledge, why not sell/install pool pumps and filters? Seems like a good fit and 💰💰💰 maker in your area 🤷♂️
Because in the authority having jurisdiction, I need to be a licensed Pool contractor to do that kind of stuff. I can get away with the pool heaters only because that falls under plumbing and the associated licensure that goes with that.
🤔 kinda hard to fix something that doesn’t show broken 🤷🏻♂️while could be a million things boards are where I would lay my finger an intermittently problem is always the worst
@@zubairkhan323 nope I’ll throw parts at it all day if that is what my customers want. But I personally want to pinpoint exactly what caused the lockout. But sometimes it’s impossible.. I have found a lot of loose spade connectors going to the boards. Heat plus time a they open up z I hate pulling a connection because each time?? They stretch a little more. An you have Tecks that don’t give a shit and yank them off crooked and jam them back on crooked causes me a lot of headaches when I have to follow in behind someone else

The plumber, who did the gas piping did a nice job correct
glad you're taking care of your knees - smart man
I think it may be too late, but I don’t hurt to bring out the pad

Those flat kneeling pads are more comfortable than binding actual kneepads, good deal
Yeah, they’re relatively inexpensive too

Hi Rambo, thanks for your support to the channel
I didnt like the way it started maybe check gas pressure
Gas pressure is great no deviation with around 5 inches of water column
Pools are such a waste of everything. 2 months use,and 10 months of maintenace nightmare. Decadence with no purpose
I actually start using mine, April. Typically close up end of October.
@PipeDoctor that's a long run. I guess the heated water allows for more use...
