Another way to make the connection between the two effects was to copy with the properties already linked. Up there in edit tab
your idea is good if you plan to animate only once, but what about when you need to change anything after copying and pasting the effects? You'll need to copy and paste to another layer again. However, if you parent them, you can make as many changes as you want without the need to copy and paste repeatedly.

Ae is it necessary to remember the expression code like you entered, for different effects or it is just short cut we can do it manually too , we just need to fallow the same to save the time and effort for each effect?
