Pepper Arden Hall. What secrets do you hold? The lady my late father knew as his sister, all his life, would have been employed there in 1917. Late in his own life my dad found out that his ‘sister’ was actually his mother. The couple he’d always called Mam and Dad were really his grandparents. Kate Constance Kilvington White became an unmarred mother as a result of a liaison with a member of the household at Pepper Arden Hall. One of Kate’s surviving sisters told my dad that much but no more. Kate would have been my grandma. I would dearly love to know more about her and the man who would have been my father’s dad. My granddad. After giving birth to her son, Kate returned to Pepper Arden Hall. Sadly, she died of TB before I was born and before my dad could ever speak to her as his mother.
Sadly, it was a very common occurrence for people in service. Luckily the grandparents were not and so able to care for him. Many were given to orphanages.
some of the hotel rooms full of furniture no space for linger why travel boxes in the cellar one box each room fully restored nice sighting and to put own suitcase on
That`s how people make their living,if he paid the owner what they were worth retail how would he pay his rent, rates, staff and himself. When you buy potatoes the greengrocer bought them cheaper elsewhere.
It is interesting to me how Drew's persona will change in a sale from an owner of a large house, to a dealer that does know the price in the market place, we see Drew as a completely different character and in a stark different light. I have watched him in several different shows, and he really should be ashamed of himself how at times he treats the un-knowing and the trusting, he acts for me like the ultimate con man.
neville mignot. Nice One and Astute observation! I also Love People Watching ~ As to drew will keep my opinion to Myself But if I said something it would be All Asterix's!
In mitigation, at a girls school where any profit was for charity, he increased what he paid after they gave ridiculous low price... He's done similar at other places where it was for charity too, it wasn't a one off.
I absolutely agree. I find his gushing around the upper class sellers and blatant conning of the naive sellers gross. His mean cods eyes reflect his true persona. He acts as if he's doing them a favour and waffles on about preserving british heritage whilst swiftly flogging the stuff overseas. As for charities, yes he ups the price if they don't realise the true value, but still con's them and makes 100% profit on the items. Thats dealers for you 😠
Taking a few rather insignificant chairs from a home with a lot of nice, but un-connected artifacts hurts nothing. If these never sold, then nobody would have seen this video, and never would have known that they even existed.
To create space because it’s cluttered, because all those things require restoration and to get on TV. Considering what he owns, he sold two old chairs never used and steamer trunks in the cellar (which I wouldn’t sell, I think they’re wonderfully evocative and useful for organising storage).
Battlefield. Nor do I but each Unto their own Opinion! As to drew I could write a book about him and it's All Derogatory ~ Based on. Fact! Come Visit and See How Popular he is in Home Territory¥ Xxx
I'm always overjoyed when Tee lets loose with some bit of humor that catches me off-guard, because I always laugh out loud like I'd been goosed!

and, as usual, Tee dressed in his Salvation Army uniforn
Love this bloke, he never lowballs for genuine items and he appreciates quality.
Love Drew, no nonsense but at the same time so enthusiastic
you know he’s already bought something when they do the cinematic pan / arc of the item with the narrator giving the price

I loved the furniture and the house itself. Just very romantic.
That Windsor chair is the finest I've seen.
What a gorgeous place. They could make a fortune using bits for photoshoots & TV series.
I would be happy to spend some time in that house with that owner, both are very handsome.
Rupert Prawnworthy let’s face it, a house none of us will ever have and a dream hot guy like him? Also Unlikely....😒
@@nsr5961 Behave yourselves boys..
Omg what a fantastic home, it's absolutely stunning....
The chinoiserie chair was lovely! I am not sure what I would have done with it if it were mine! These chairs were often painted.
The show is brilliant I have learned a lot
The owner is very handsome!
Yes, very much so!
leave me your number i'll pass to him ;)
Gold Digging Ho Alarm triggered XD
What a silly remark.
He wouldn't be so handsome if be didn't have such a nice house huh?
Should turn his house into a museum...

Fast deals. Would like to seen the clean up and listings.
They were had alright😂
Lovely house with treasure to go.
All those fabulous pieces and the owner appears to begrudgingly parts with 2 chairs and a few trunks?? Why did they call you in the first place?
you answered your own question
They were low balling the owner, then they turn around and sell for 3 times as much
That`s how people make their living,if he paid the owner what they were worth retail how would he pay his rent, rates, staff and himself. When you buy potatoes the greengrocer bought them cheaper elsewhere.
Probably got pestered by the shows research assistant who finds places for them to go. I can't see them willingly contacting him off their own bat.
'No, nothing's for sale in the house but we do have an outside toilet'.
The owner is a Fox Moulder (of Xfiles)look alike .
The prat owner has no idea on a price, but bids it higher when given an offer.....
Son impresionantes no casas castillos felicidades drew y a Rebeca también y a ter😊
I think the prices he raises, he makes up for in others that he lowers
Dream home!
The windows have been recently replaced and most inappropriately. The fortunate heir is thoroughly lacking.
This is Harry Potter grown up!
Interesting, worth it tho, thanks Drew....e

That house is on the verge of falling apart
Beautiful, but falling apart
Aren't We All! Except this place Will be standing when we are Long Forgotten! Xxx
Lets tell drew we have some nice bits for sale....when he gets here....show him around then just say we can't sell nothing🙄
tandem 89 yup Agree with you Totally so he wastes money and Not make a profit plus stop Buggering People!
What's the point if you dont wanna sell
Che bei BAULI !! 😍🎉
I want to see/stay in this home.
What about his ever Best Affair!
I think he took advantage of the person selling. Everything is probably going to be sold 10x what he paid for.
Otherwise, they would sit there gathering dust!
The owner has Martin freemen voice
Daria of a new bloom OMG EXACTLY the same
I hate it when people destroy good collation like these by separate them

Why should he sold items in that house , while he doesn’t need cash . So funny....

I knw the window cleaner

So british american pickers. Probably have waaaaay cooler stuff
I wonder if Tee is picking anything up he spends most of the time cracking shite jokes

The house is in a dire condition, seems very unhealthy...most of the objects are mediocre
