- If you hate your job, you might be thinking what it would be like to quit it once and for all. But how can you make your steady paycheck? I describe how I did it and what you can expect. Some precaution is necessary based on my experience.

@@adammorra3813 started a website that sells services. Hired a addistant, built up seo and online presence. I ge t 100s of bookings a month now and my assistant and employees handle the service work and scheduling etc. All sales come from online
Start working on ideas like 2 hours a day for a year. Watch what u will accomplish eventually.
Generally speaking these are good fundamental steps. I will say one of the only things I do not go cheap on is groceries! Organic everything helps you feel better and live longer and have a better quality of life IMO. Great vid!

I experimented with a few side hustles. None of them panned out but at least I have the satisfaction that I tried.

I've been contracting for years and it was a bit of a process to go from full time to this, but the freedom is priceless. Also, the less you earn, the less taxes you pay and that makes you more efficient per definition. Not to mention the time saved not having to commute if you can work from home. I much rather live a simple, low cost life.
Exactly! Plus you don't feel humiliated by "supervisors" every single day. Nobody is checking why you didn't move your mouse for more than a few seconds, you don't have to share small spaces with people distracting you, you can just stop what you're doing, get out of your house and walk when the weather is nice or when you feel like having a meal, any time of the day, any day. You don't need to beg your boss to not fire you if you have "too many medical appointments" and you can take vacations anytime you feel like. Lottery winners quit their jobs because jobs suck. When they're self employed or business owners you don't usually see them doing the same (unless they were failing etc).
When I contracted, they would send me to a place far from my home. The per diem for living expenses was often more than my base pay.
@@bobs8226 When you are valuable enough you get those perks, and more. It's a matter of offer x demand. Do something with high demand and low offer and you can profit from it. Otherwise, you're doomed. Don't be a school teacher if you want to be rich, unless you're wealthy and have a good network that will give you tenure somewhere prestigious.

I agree with you and believe that the secret to financial stability is having the right investment ideas to enable you earn more money, I don't know who agrees with me but either way I recommend real estate or crypto and stocks.

I don't think they carry a big headed dinosaur, but I know they have very cute stuffed animals with strange proportions!!!! lol. They are called Awkward Animals. I don't know how active they are but they took awhile to fulfill my order many Christmas ago :) I told them I wasn't in a rush, and just gave them reminders once in awhile. They were cool and gave me extra :)
I used to think engineering is a LAX job. then I began working at Broadcom as a supervisor (120k/yr to work 3 days a week) and learned engineers frequently quit haha
I would have to get paid a LOT more to go back to working from an office. Or the office has to have amazing perks. Not commuting is amazing.
You touched on it: I think the most important thing is for the side hustle to be something where you get paid for results and not for your time. Otherwise, you're basically working another job (albeit with more freedom).
The best thing I personally did was to not have a family. No children or significant other. Nobody to drag me down or to force me to do things I would not want to. It's surely much easier to accept a lower income / life standard and move anywhere anytime without worrying about the well being of others I would be responsible for, otherwise.
Entrepreneurship is safer if you are productive. If you aren't productive you might also be unable to find a full time job (or stay in one) anyways. Companies want to profit from our work (usually) and it's very difficult to lie flat (not in the sense most commonly used but in the sense of doing almost nothing for the business during those hours).
The freedom of time we have is a massive privilege. We are living mostly for ourselves, meaning we have 8 hours to sleep and 16 hours that we allocate according to what we need or want. When you work you lose 9 hours at work plus another couple commuting and getting "put together". So you only have 5 hours, usually the worst ones, when you come home already tired and stores are closed, the sun is already down etc. You're also physically stuck and you can't just travel around unless you have a privileged remote work position.
You're right, you need to keep your plans secret. Even after early retired it's very uncomfortable when interacting with people as the first thing they want to know is what you "do". Now that I am older they accept better when I say I am retired, but a few years ago they'd run a full interview on "how is it possible someone like you is retired already". Maybe I should have made business cards and told them they could do the same by "buying my course" 😁

Is it really hard for you to say the name and model it is… makes me think if his parents ask him what type of car he owns or use for commuting or grocery shopping his response would be “ oh it’s a blue one
I have to disagree about the comment about willpower. Willpower is fragile and can break easily. What I have found to be more helpful than willpower is preparation. Essentially take actions to prepare to do that side hustle work. Preparing removes obstacles so it’s easier to get started and doesn’t look like a mountain to climb.
An example is someone who wants to lose weight will be more successful if they meal prep and have healthy meals on hand v.s. Find themselves hungry and not having healthy foods available.
I always say make it so easy to do that you trip over it when you get out of bed.
I would love to be able to i've just struggled with biz ventures and have high spending habits (am a car and watch guy also into bodybuilding). A strategy i'm starting to formulate is save as much as I can and get the right team to invest in a multifamily property... maybe it's something that'll come to fruition idk yet...

@@David-sq2en its crazy that HOA increases THAT much to hurt lifestyle. Ours is 300/yr and includes a NICE pool area and well maintained agric and lawncare.

He made the right choices and worked hard to achieve what he has. And he's being generous enough to expose himself so others can do the same if they want to. It's not easy for anybody that doesn't have rich parents funding them.
If we want to cross the bridge to own ourselves (minimally, because we never fully own ourselves) we need to make a massive effort for a decade or so, on top of choosing what's our priority and following through. You can't afford to make mistakes like dating (time, energy and money eater) or, even worse, having children.
If you are valuable enough to have a good income you should be able to afford rent, expenses and save. If not, maybe you need to learn something different, go to college in something useful and with demand, maybe even profit from side hustles. If you're in the United States it seems you can make a very good amount of money even with simple things like driving for Uber or delivering packages, which is something most people can do even without specialized skills.
It's not easy. Life sucks. Am I scared of starving one day? Hell yes! And if I see myself in a situation where I have to slave away to be able to eat low quality food and live in a bad place I will just end myself, which is another thing I can do without any guilt because I don't have to provide for anybody.
