Thanks for this practical and straightforward advice - I'm hoping to make a gelatin plate and was wondering how to store it - your solution seems perfect👍
I know this is for storage. I homemade mine and it seems to soft and breaks. It is about 1.5 inches. I homemade glycerin as well and I added alcohol. Lost as what to do now. Frustrated could you give me any advice 💕
Hi Nykkey.how have you made your geli plate ? I'm a vegan so try to avoid gelatine ,how many 'clean' prints are you getting before any pitting or spliting ruins the plate.Really expensive here in the UK ,I bought one 1/2 the size from Gelarts and it cost me 22 quid, crazy as it's just a sheet of polymer. Have you tried printing off very thin polysterene sheet ,I bought some from a kids art supplier on Amazon Uk cheaply and all that's needed is an old ball point pen or pencil to scribe it,used with acrylic 50/50 textile medium it prints beautifully on cotton. Thanks for sharing ,I'll sub your channel ,peace Sophie :)
voodoo dolly the recipient I used was from Lindsey the frugal crafter had made a video about. But it is made with gelatin. I found if you let the surface dry a bit so that it isn't so tacky it helps reduce the peeling and pitting. But one of the good things about the home Meade gelli plate is you can melt and reset the plate when it starts to get a bit beat up. Hope this helps you.
Just made my first plate tonight and needed to know this. Thanks for this idea.

I use two pieces of perspex and store it in the fridge. As it's flat and thin it's easy to slide in without taking up a lot of room.
I was wondering if you needed to refridge it. thanks.
you rock! I was planning to make a plate but had no idea how to store it. I have some of those clear report covers - bet they'll do the trick!
Evelyn Barney oh yeah those should work too!
I use large Acetate sheets
Brilliant 👌 thank you.

Do you rinse it off after every use?
Thank you for the tips. Where do you place it, fridge?
I just keep it with my craft supplies
Thanks for the tips! Question did you have any issues with mold? What recipe to you recommend?
No problems with mold. The recipe I used had isopropyl alcohol in it. I got it from Lindsay The Frugal Crafter on RUclips.
I made mine with alcohol too but both plates grew cloudy and moldy 😩. Finally, i broke down and bought one, very happy with it.
