Just a quick update on the battery during standby, I've been running some tests and these are the current results: 4G ON/WiFi OFF 84% - 22% After 4 Days ~15% loss per day 4G OFF/WiFi OFF 100% - 92% After 2 Days ~4% loss per day 4G OFF/WiFi ON 92% - 40% After 3 days ~13% loss per day 7 DAY STANDBY TEST - 4G OFF/WiFi OFF 100% - 60% ~5.7% loss per day
Thanks for your review! I got my Bigme Hibreak Colour a week ago for smartphone detox but I still was wondering whether to open it or return it. Thanks to your video I'm deciding to keep it!
Thanks for your work! I've seen in another review that this smartphone has problems in areas with low phone coverage. Do you confirm this or has it worked well for you?
Thanks for watching! I've actually had really good signal here in the UK. It might be the bands that the phone supports where others have issues - I'm on Vodafone with the SIM I used to test and it supports all the bands in Europe. Have a look at the supported bands here and just make sure your operator's band is listed: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0629/1311/8387/files/2048_2048x2048.jpg
I have the monochrome version for a backup number that I only use for text messages. Battery life is 2-3 days with wifi and 3/4G, with no backlight and calendar/clock for lock screen. I have an SD card for music. Good value at $219. I’d rather have this one stolen than my $1000 phone.
21 fps is too slow for me but I like the idea. Im depending on maps and youtube more than I like so its a no go for me. Im not really worried about battery with budget phones shipping with big batteries and fast charge these days (Poco for example). I think its neat if you travel by public transport for work or school though. Saves you from carrying around a separate kindle.
I'm a big eink fan, but without 5G and NFC, it's a no from me. Now, you might say that wanting 5G is silly as there's no need for the speed on an eink device however I dont want it for the 5G speed just for the extra bands as 3G is getting turned off.
I was going to say "wanting 5G is silly" but I understand - having more bands is better than less, especially if 3G is going soon. Hopefully the next iteration will come with a 5G modem to further future-proof it.
Why do you think that the light mode uses less ink and saves battery? ) This is not a printer and there is no ink. The light mode hardly affects the battery discharge at all. Only the number of screen refreshes affects, and even then not very much, since the Android operating system consumes much more energy.
Dark mode will use more because it'll be pushing more ink when the screen does refresh. Whether you'd ever be able to measure how much extra it uses is unlikely - and it'll unlikely make a noticeable but I think this is the only phone where using light mode makes sense and looks better 👍

Thanks that would be appreciated
Спасибо, что даёте столь полный отзыв.
Спасибо за просмотр!
Perfect for someone like me who uses his phone for, almost overwhelmingly, calls and texts and who gets frustrated with battery life. Thanks.
Texting would be annoying on this phone in my opinion
Thanks for watching!
Great review, was wondering about this device, thanks!
Thanks for watching - it's a really cool phone!
Awesome review mate. Keep it up!
Thanks so much!
As of right now I wouldn't buy this phone. But it looks like a great step towards E-Ink based phones in the future.
I agree- I think we'll see some great improvements for e-ink in the future 👍

Glad to hear it - it's fun to use so I'm sure you'll enjoy it 😊
Is there a way to turn off the colour?

Nice, thanks for the feedback, I'm seeing similar results here too - and agreed - it'd be less painful to lose/have this stolen than a $1000 flagship.
Please write how long this smartphone works on one charge under different operating conditions
I've just added a pinned comment with some more standby testing. I will do some more tests over the coming weeks 👍

Yeah I think that, if over time, they could bump up the frame rate to 24-30fps that would make a big difference.
how to transfer ebooks to this phone from my PC? when im connecting to my PC i dont see any Bigme folder. Any ideas?
You could also email them to yourself or use a Google drive
Can you remove installed apps?
You can disable them but you can't completely uninstall them

Thank you for great review! There is no NFC (
That would have been a nice addition
