I installed them to my 2024 1LT, and I had to go get an angle grinder and cut off wheels, and snip off about half an inch off all my stock lugs... I tried grinding but it simply wasn't enough... So per Paragon's advice, I cut the ends off all the stock lugs, about 1mm above where the threads start.
I also put blue locktite on the spacer lug nuts, and then tightened them to 140ft/lbs. Also, don't do the grinding in the garage... that Dremel is throwing off a ton of tons metal bits and abrasive materials into the air in there, which is settling on the car on the paint!
Yeah it seems to be very hit or miss with the stock wheels. The rear left I barely had to even touch (probably didn't even have to). The front right I had to take a bunch off. 🤷🏼♂️
I struggle to make a positive comment when guy addresses basic design considerations with " I don't know" I care about such stuff much more than what the car looks like.
Did you torque the spacers or just use the impact? I have been trying to figure out how to torque the front spacers, guess I could have someone step on the brake.
Without an impact you would have to either use a large pry bar in the studs or have someone put their foot on the brake. I have 300ftlbs impact & set it to half power to torque them. The C8 lugs are 150ftlbs. Good question.
@@VetOnVettes thanks, used 20 mm spacers on my C7 Z51, and it seemed everything made it scrub in the rear. I'll definitely will be doing this. Your videos give a big help with what I can do on my C8. Thank you

If they reduce the wheel bearings by 10% you can make a video changing them and make the money back
I did the same thing with the same spacers. They are great!
Hey I’m local in the 757 I have the CMG color matched z51 wing and splitter as well I’m getting rid of in the upcoming year
I've already procured a black spoiler, however I would be interested in the splitter for sure!
Such a great improvement! Thanks for sharing.
Agreed. You bet.
My c8z 5 spoke reps I got from OEwheels didn't need to be grinded any. I heard other aftermarket wheels dont need it either.

HOW ODD !!!!!!!!...... I just ordered a set of these last night and you just posted this vid 2day!
Haha awesome. With a jack and tools ready you can do all 4 corners in an hour.
I used the same spacers. they are great
Great video.
Question, after filing it down, does it make the lugs unusable if you ever want to go back to stock?
Not at all. You aren't filing down the threads themselves. The threads start about an inch back. So you could easily go back to stock.
I've seen others use the Dremel on the inside of their wheels instead of their wheel studs.
I personally would never touch the wheel and mess up balancing it. A wheel is $500. An ARP wheel stud replacement is $2.99. 🤷🏼♂️

What is the brand? 121,99$...

@@VetOnVettesThanks, I am probably going to get these for my C8. Thanks for the video.
@@Fulloctanegarage you bet 👍
Any scrubbing?
You mean tire rub on the fenders etc? No, none at all.

Jesus you did the spacers & you lowered it now just leave it alone brah
The "tuck" gap on the C8 wheel make me want to throw up
