This is exactly what im looking for. I bought the metal one and its a disaster because it never stick to my crochet purse. Thank you for this information. God bless you. ☺️
Hello! Thank you for this tutorial on how to use snaps , I was thinking of buying one from Amazon but wasn't sure if I could understand how to use it. Great Tutorial 👍!!
They do. I’ve used them for several projects using a variety of yarns. You may have to add a fabric liner just below the snap on some projects though (depending on your stitch and yarn).
@@ModeBespoke do you have a tutorial on how to add snaps with fabric liner? I would like to use snaps on knitted baby onesies but I'm not quite sure how to add them 🙈
I have not. I only barely bought some for a sweater and have yet to use it. I didn’t think to use if with snaps but now I’m going to! Thank you so much for the suggestion! 😊 🙏🏼
It can if you are not careful, yes. I suggest adding a fabric liner before adding the snaps. I discovered it worked much better well after I filmed the video.
@@ModeBespoke this is great! I am going to get the tool and snaps. was trying to figure out how to finish my childrens sweater . But what do you. mean fabric liner would this be something you sew on and use the fabric liner to hold the snaps?
I thought so too! I looked at several options, but opted for this one. The color variety of the snaps is fantastic! At least, I thought so. I’ve found snaps for every color project I’ve crocheted.
Oh! I have been wanting to learn how to apply snaps! Thank you!
Thank YOU! 😊

Would these snaps work on different crochet patterns? And different types of yarn?

How you keep it from ripping through the stitches?
I’ve found that seeing on a fabric liner helps. 🤷🏻♀️
@@ModeBespokedoes the fabric need to be thick? Or does it not matter as long as you have something lining your work? Ty 🩷
I bought that and the snaps would never snap. Bought metal ones have you tried those?
I have not. Do you like them better? And are they easy (ish) to add to garments?
Do you use fuseable webbing before applying snaps? Makes them sturdier

@@ModeBespoke you are very welcome. I crochet baby clothes. I find snaps safer than buttons.
What type of fuseable webbing? Is it specific to crochet/knitting? Thank you
Fusible webbing found at any fabric store. As long as it's perfect with cotton. I try to stay away from a cotton blend. @@maryparson1224
Hi. Do you think I could use these as eyes for a crocheted teddy bear appliqué?
Hi! I don’t see why not, they would look cute!
What a great idea!
Do you think I would have two use two snaps or could I use just one because it won’t actually be snapping something closed?
You could probably use just one. 🤔
Does this ruin the crocheted item?

oh! i didn’t even know i needed a tool to tighten them together NO WONDER they didn’t work 😂
😂
That was a good price $18.00.
