This segment works so much better with two people making each other laugh at their off the cuff jokes
Love how they clearly aren't trying and still come up with the funniest caption with that Human Centipede one.
This is easily the funniest, as they didn’t have to come of with actual related humor but set up a complex web of running jokes and finishing a joke.
It’s the ucb improv method which they were both trained in.
This is that episode of the office where Gabe ruins the caption contest and has no sense of humor

To those who don't get it, the joke isn't the joke, the joke is how the comments are mockery of the New Yorker's often inane or political captions. Later the jokes become a mockery of his own running gags and dumb sense of humor.

Zach woods is adorable. This isn't particularly funny, but I smiled because he seemed so delighted at the cartoons.
