out the box only b-stock issue I could see was a chip off lacquer and pressed in lower side strap button, both same location, due to damage on carton box outside my guessing it has nothing to do with b-stock, it just happened on transport to me
over the chip off lacquer I glued some tape and filled the drill hole of strap button and fixed the screw again inside, looks not good, but works well
---- next modifications I made after the movies were finished -----
action was high, neck profil needed to be straightend, finally the neck needed to be shimed to get better neck angle for lower action in high fret area
bridge saddle screws where too high cause of bad neck action, hurting while playing, now its comfortable, I replaced some of the hex screws with smaller ones
vintage style bridge saddles had sharp edges wich I smoothened for better playing comfort,
I do not prefer this vintage style saddles, the amount for adjusting the hight is really limited, either the screws standing out too much which is hurting while playing palm mutes or they are too deep inside and having no more stability cause the thread length of saddles is quiet small
sharp fret ends smoothened + fret board edges rounded
That guitar looks awesome enjoy it. thanks for sharing ATB 👍
thx
Lovely looking guitar, why was it B stock?
guitar strap button was pressed into the wood due to transport, in this area is a chip off lacquer
hell yeah man
thx
Fritz ... Why do you think this guitar was listed as B-stock? Were there any blems or signs of obvious wear? Do you think it was a return? TIA
Hi Floyd, it was a return and advertised by T as b-stock. Issue was one of the pin´s was pressed into the wood due to shipping/handling. I could see the damaged carton box in this area --> was not part of b-stock :-) fresh happend due to shipping to me
Hey Fritz, is this made in china or made in Indonesia?
And do you recommend this, or an ST-70 to a beginner who primarily wants to play pop and 80s? Thanks!
Hey Wesley, have a look also to ST-90 (little heavy cause of ash body) / ST-57, they all have modern temolo which feels more comfortable if you rest your hand on it or if you play palm mutes. Otherwise go for ST-70. ST-62 tremolo for me was not comfortable while my hand resting on it or on playing palm mutes (nothing to do with screws, I screwed them completly in but there where sharp edges on the saddles).
@@fritzsguitars Thank you very much Fritz. How do they compare to the Harley Benton Fusion? Would you in this case recommend the ST-90/ST-57/ST-70 or the Fusion HSS?
Hi, Fusion is like top of the line for ST in Harley Benton, I never played one so far but is also on my list. Just think about your choise, that step by step it´s getting more and more expensive... started from the ST 62 Hot Rod then ST-90/ST-57/ST-70 and now Fusion. Go one step back and think what was your initial intention.
Why did you shaking the box????
Checking if enough filling material was used to secure the inner box :-), best case you should hear no movement inside
Haha, you've could have cut the first three minutes :-D
Yes, it was too long, you are right :)
Worst unboxing of all times but nice socks 😂
Anyway thanks for watching :)
