40 years ago one could dream of getting a quality guitar like this....for the price. I paid 1700 skr (2024) for the Hot Rod modell. That's exactly what a completely unplayable crap guitar cost me....1982 !? Now...consider inflation for those 42 years. It's crazy !! My new HB was by the way flawless out of the box. The neck....5 stars, and way better than my expensive Gretsch. We do live in the golden age of good affordable guitars....enjoy it. Thanks for the video 😊
Just bought one with maple fretboard it plays and sounds awesome. I did complete fret leveling, polishing, crowning and nut height tuning, now it is at least as good as Squier Classic Vibe after pro setup.
For $145 US, I couldn't not buy a ST62. I pay more for pedals. It is a great guitar. I love mine. I need to get a standard series, too. For $78 US. Insane! thanks for the review!
I got the St-62 VW as a Gift for Christmas. Surprised me really. For a lower end Guitar they play as well as more expensive Brand names. A steal at these prices. Heard some of issues with other Models. Yet I would buy these Guitars. A little moderate adjustments for personal preference. Action. Ect ect... I think it still has the strings on it that my friend bought it with. I believe he had it for a little bit before he gave it to me. I love it to be honest gonna keep the bridge as a hardtail. Not a big fan of terms. May shield the inside myself for interference.
I agree , the basswood is a hell of a lot better then I thought it would be. I recently got a few of them and I’m overwhelmed by how awesome they sound. Not a dam thing wrong with basswood in my mind.
These things never feel or play 100% great straight out of the box, but if you can do your own setup and roll the fingerboard edges and frets with a sanding block you'll get a superb Strat for pin money. I loved mine so much I bought another for modding the same week.

I still love mine. The last color available when I got mine was Aztec Silver but I have grown to love the color. I still can't believe how little it cost.
@@PegeCovers are you familiar with Vintage Brand? RUclips got me hyped up to buy a V6, and waiting on it to show up. it is supposed to be the same way, a lot of guitar for a little money. not as cheap as HB, though. I also bought a Harley Benton SCT24. it is a PRS clone. It was $245 US and you would swear it was 3 times that much! HB has an HSS strat for $88 US. I pay more for pedals, I think I said once before. I heard CNC machines and Thomann is also the distributor keeps the prices WAY down.
I honestly don't know... Let me check when I'm in the studio! 😄 If the holes and size of the pickguard is the same as a Strats, then it shouldn't be a problem 😄
Can you do a sound comparison on this Harley Benton St-62 Vintage series and the Harley Benton St-62?. I can’t decide which one I want based on the sound because there aren’t any comparison videos on RUclips. I would really appreciate it if you decided to do it.
@@resqgear1918 Hi again! I reached out to Thomann and asked them what the biggest differences between the guitars are. And they said they are the same but just different colors. Super Job man! Harley benton is the best in my opinion for price to performance!!! They are killing the comp at every price while staying under 600 USD. Hahahahaha
But you did not test the vibrato as you said you'd do. You could have tested it as it was but you did not either. Does that mean it detunes the strings too much?
Dear friend , that sounds killer but please if will would so kindly sir please play the hard crunched out distortion WITHOUT and Reverb so I could ws guitarists could heart the other soul biting sounds . Thank you so very much and you sir are a fine gentleman indeed ! Ed. 👍⚡🎸⚡
Yeah you've got a killer set and video production, but there seems to be way too much reverb or something that just sounds a bit off, on the clean and dirty.
That unmatched wallpaper drives me crazy! ANd the so-called sunburst is not very bursty -- it's more like three distinct clours. Like a clown's car, maybe.
@@resqgear1918 haha I can relate. Have the st-90 as well (ash body). Awesome guitars. The white one I modded a bit. Thick trem block and aged pickup covers and knobs. Oh and a 9.5 inch radius neck from Ali. Great time to be alive for guitar lovers!
Would rather choose Harley benton st70 rosewood deluxe serie. Costs just a little bit more and has Wilkinson pickups. Wilkinson bridge and better quality.

bought one exactly like this one and it will be here tomorrow! so excited!
Its actually a really good instrument for the money! So have fun with your new guitar! 😄
@@resqgear1918 thanks man! it’s going to be my 2nd strat🤞 the backup one
That's a great neck pickup strat sound. The open string buzzing is concerning but perhaps can be adjusted out. Maybe the nut slot is cut too low.
I did adjust it later, and now there's next to no buzz 🤗

Ciao volevo sapere se il manico è molto largo rispetto a una chitarra standar… grazie
Hi, just one question man, would this work if I want to put a standard Stratocaster pick guard. The thing doesn’t look the best with those pickguard.

For a demo maybe less effects so one can get a better sense of clean tones.
