      to be honest i'm afraid this nuclear hype is gonna backfire, kibitz. of course it's teasing us with better power, but the waste still can't be thrown away. Like in real life, we still can't figure what to do to solve the nuclear waste. And i don't think the dev team will give us any update fast enough to solve it. they could teased us to be more critical thinking and care about the environment that we exploit. just be careful tho. you've built a lot. you've done a lot. i hope the decision to use the nuclear power won't hurt your progress in the long run. not trying to ruin your fun, but it's kinda necessary to put it into consideration. maybe just focus on the infrastructure first until there are some light from the dev on how to deal with this nuclear stuffs. can't wait for the next episode.

      On another tought: id does say RAW resources.. hmm

    • @adisatrio3871
      @adisatrio3871 5 лет назад +1

      @@MarcioHuser yea in real life its raw resource too but yet people still have no idea how to deal with it. they just buried it in compartment and water underground. cuz the decay last for years. by years i mean literally years. more or less 100 year. and i don't think it's wise to activate it with that huge power and let it running when the most of the power is not used for anything at all while the waste is keep on coming. i think it's good for emergency boost of power when making another base or expansion of production station. but i don't think it's good for primary power until we know how to deal with the waste. that nuclear station that he made is about 20x more than what he's consuming. it's unnecessary to run all of it, waste the power while producing more nuclear waste problem. i love this gameplay at first cuz he create anything with thought process, but now especially on this nuclear topic, i think he just went too crazy cuz the hype and lack of further thinking. i hope he realize that issue in the next episode.

    Why not grab all the components needed for a nuclear fuel rod from the original factory, ship them by train to your nuclear plant and mine the uranium from the cave and just assemble the final parts in the reactor area? Balancing isn't nearly as important in this game as it is in Factorio. It's easier and just as effective to have one main line that feeds into X machines, but keep the machines off when you hook up the line. Then just turn the machines on in order from farthest away from the source to closest. Once one machine is full, turn on the next. Once all machines are on, they'll all be supplied equally.

    Kibitz... You can tame those pink Doggos! Not only that they bring you stuff. Just approach them a bit, with berries in hand. When it seems interested, licking its lips sort of, drop a stack of 10 on the ground. It will eat them, and you can pet it. Ta-da you have a pet dog, that will actually follow you around, and has a 1 slot inventory that he fills at every 10 or so minutes with good stuff. The second thing my first doggo gave me, a purple power slug. He now has a "kennel" locking him in at my main base. Had him follow me all the way from where your nuke plant is, back to where your main base is, took some time, but he followed. Even boxed in he "finds" things. Watch out though, they have been known to find nuclear waste as well!

    I hope environmental disasters become a game mechanic. You're well on your way.
    Also, would love to see powerline limits and overpower meltdowns of the power disrtribution infrastructure..
    Also also...nuclear reactors require heavy water for steam and liquid metal for thermal management. Shouldn't that be something produced and managed?

      50 industrial containers holds 1,200,000 total nuclear waste. That's 4,000 hours of game play. He's got plenty.
