Just want to ask. You said that it's not your favourite amp sim. So what's your favourite amp sim?
Neural DSP's Archetype Nolly is my favorite! I think it sounds the best and is the most versatile amp vst available right now.
Nice demo man. I really liked the clean and lead amps in this one, but was kind of disappointed by the Rhythm amp, wasn't able to get a tight high gain tone that I'm used to. That was the major reason pulling me back from purchasing it.
Definitely feel you on that! It's going to be interesting to see how they work on this in the future.
The big thing with Jason’s rhythm sound is that it’s his pickups and his right hand. If you have darker pickups or you don’t pick as hard as Jason it’s not going to do the thing BUT that’s just what we used on the album. There are infinite variables. You can turn the focus eq off if you want more “teeth” and cut to the sound. You can switch out any infinite options of mics and completely change the gain and boost pedal to work with your pickups and playing. For you I’d suggest using more of the gain on the boost pedal and maybe slightly more treble on it going into the amp. Then mess with the gain on the amp to get it to chug like you want and dial the depth to taste. There are infinite options! That’s just the preset we used on his record for his playing! :)
