1) I surprise that no one made a comic about that. And 2 that would be both funny and mess up if that how the show end by having reveal that if not only rick was the one who made home world and is white diamond but also it turns out that the whole show universe is a Battery for something for rick to use in his lab under the house and let say that when Steven universe end, they show the most of the universe and in the next rick and Morty episode, the first thing we see is of the same universe backing up to show rick lab, then rick come to it, see and know why there no power coming from it, then pick it then smash it on ground killing everyone in and rick being rick doesn't even care and start again.

Pink was not part of the corruption. Centipeedle specifically drew the THREE-Diamond insignia when she told Steven about the corruption, not the FOUR-Diamond insignia. Besides which the whole war started because PD was shattered.

Is it possible that Pearl was considered for White Diamond's court, but was rejected for being Off-Color? Maybe White Diamond decided to reassign Pearl to Pink Diamond's Court instead of shattering her to save resources which eventually lead to Pearl joining Rose Quartz?

I don't know why, but I still think that White Diamond could be a reference of "stage parents" and/or "hollywood parents". You know, those types of parents that strives for PERFECTION for so long because they believe that "image is everything." When you look up diamonds online, they'll always say "the more clearer/brighter the diamond, the more perfect it is." I know this might sound like a bit of a stretch, but let me ask you this:
Let's say you're shopping for a diamond ring, which diamond would you choose? The dingy one or the most perfect, most flawless diamond of all?

Well, like you said, white diamond is the final boss. As a creator of homeworld and the character to strike fear into the hearts of everyone, I see her as cruel and intimidating. It kind of makes sense. Since white diamond supposedly created homeworld, we can assume that she also created the rules and laws. Off color fusion is bad, being even a little rebellious is bad, etc. Blue and Yellow diamond are there to also rule homeworld, but not as what most of us think. They're only pawns, carrying out what their creator made. White diamond has made a world in which no one has an opinion of their own. The gems together are mindless zombies. Don't think about it, just do it. Even hesitating a little can show that you might be untrustworthy. Which brings me to the fact of white diamond's personality. No one has seen a member of her court because she thinks she is the supreme ruler. She has her court with her at all times for a few possible reasons. 1: she doesn't want her court affected by corruption. 2: she doesn't want to waste her time on matters that the lower diamonds could handle 3: she's planning something. These could all lead to big moments of Steven Universe. I believe that slowly, the gems will realize that they have a choice, including the diamonds. Once they know that they're only being used by wd, they rebel together. This could be the time where wd returns, sees that all of her work has been changed, and becomes furious by it.
This. There's a big personality difference between gems made on Earth, as opposed to anywhere else... what does Earth have that other planets don't? Human influence. Amethyst acts more "human" than the other CG, eating food, joking around, hanging out and interacting with other humans, like Onion's mom, being Purple Puma, etc. We don't see that with Pearl and Garnet so much, but they weren't born on Earth. They weren't born amongst human influence. Even the Famithysts joke around more, not as commited to their specified roles, like they know there's more to life than their programmed roles. Gems from other colonies just don't possess that "humanity" that gems born on earth seem to have. The fact that pink has spoiled tendencies and a rebelious nature makes me think that she too has "human influence". I don't think it's pure elitism, she just knows better. (I think she came out of the giant hole in Russia.) I definitely dig where you're going with this.
My headcanon for White Diamond is a Wise Diamond, not so much the "Big Heartless Bad" everyone is hoping for. After all, Steven Universe is full of crazy plot twists and contradicting characters:
- Aquamarine was visioned as a lost child, and Topaz as an intimidating brute, and they turned out to be the opposite. Aquamarine is a (b-word) and Topaz is a (cuteness overload noises).
- Jasper was seen as this one-dimensional brute who was the abuser in Malachite... NOPE. Lapis was also an abuser (though she was the main one) and Jasper has a heart of GOLD (we just need to see it... come on...).
- Peridot was presumed to be an indimidator, she's a sparatic ball of energy and is determined to comfort any fellow gems when they are hit the hardest. This is mainly seen in her growing (non-romantic) relationship with Lapis.
Aqua Peri You see, THIS is what Rebecca seeks to accomplish. Think about it, these characters were not what you expected. It is breaking your expectations, expanding your mind, teaching you not to judge someone by how they first appear. It's teaching us how to learn how have open minds and accept others. Rebecca is teaching us how to love. She has said this in prior years.

Too bad Reality isn't like this.
But not just breaking your expectations JUST for the purpose of breaking them. Each gem has their own, personality, perspective, and motivation that is all rational from their own individual viewpoint.
And that's what I think White Diamond will be. I think she will be the "wise leader" type gem, but I also think she will be stuck in her own rationalizations of her actions and her direction of her "people." The final battle will not be a physical one, but a philosophical one.

I think that White Diamond might be an "elderly" diamond, like, she might have her gem's edges softened because of the age, or even chipped. But I imagine her as a really tall, gibous, really slender, supporting on a cane. And also she wouldn't care about PD or Rose at all, if YD or BD asked her what to do, she'd be mad at them for caring about something this puny and not important at all. She might say that she'd seen various diamonds come and go and it's how it is. Idk, that's how I imagine her. xd

I do hope people understand that the Diamonds aren't meant to be the villains in Steven Universe nor are they evil. Yes, they are antagonists to our main characters, but they are more like the opposing viewpoint. Unlike Rose Quartz and the Crystal Gems, the Diamonds never valued Earth for it beauty and potential. To them it was just another promising planet to colonize, capable of expanding their empire and producing more Gems for them to rule. Truly, they weren't doing anything wrong, they were just furthering their own species at the expense of another, and humans do exactly the same. It's the typical behavior of a life form. For example, if vegetarians tried to prevent a slaughterhouse from exploiting animals for their meat, their plans would be thwarted by the millions of people who love having delicious burgers and crispy bacon on their plates. It's truly no different, except this time the slaughterhouse is an entire planet, and the vegetarians are the Crystal Gems. The Diamonds just wanted their subjects to thrive, and there's nothing wrong with that. Of course this doesn't excuse the way they treat their subjects, but when you think about it they are the leaders of Homeworld, and they alone are responsible for Gems existing in the first place. So if this is how they see it fit to lead their empire, so be it.

I wholeheartedly, absolutely disagree with this statement. That's like saying Hitler wasn't mean to be a villain, he was just furthering Germany or that slavery was just to help people who would never have the opportunity to better themselves if they hadn't been kidnapped.
The narrative of the story has built them up to be villains. Just because they cry and have feelings doesn't mean they don't have a caste system which, even when not in the system, is still felt by gems like Pearl, Garnet (and thus Ruby and Sapphire), Peridot, etc. Dictators and tyrants rule with fear and that's exactly how Homeworld is run. That's why you have the Off Colors hiding out in the tunnels and why the original Crystal Gems defected and rebelled in the first place. That's the story.
As a writer, I know everyone doesn't have to understand how characters and plot and all that jazz works, but there are literally times when I wonder if anyone in this fandom has ever read a book in their lives. I mean, would you say Captain Ahab wasn't the villain in Moby Dick? Or that Smaug or Sauran were supposed to be sympathetic characters in The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings?
Or Voldemort wasn't truly evil just because he cut away his soul and then tried or succeeded in murdering those against him?
Regina Woodard I get what you're saying and we weren't justifying the wrong things that they do but the writers of the show have said themselves that neither side is bad they just have different viewpoints and ideas.
Shadowy Silhouette I gotcha and, like Slice, I certainly wouldn't want a 2D character in a show that has gone deeper than most cartoons I've ever watched. BUT different viewpoints and ideas are how wars get started. It's never about the idea, it's about what one side will do to keep their ideas in place. That's what leads to genocide, that's what leads to a civil war, that's what leads to people murdering people because they don't fit in to their preconceived notions.
It's like Jasper said - if you don't fit into that order, you must be purged.
You can't deny that - what I see as a good portion of the fandom - many fans don't seem to want a villain on the show or want to redeem every character that walks across the screen and that's just, to me, bad writing.
It's one thing to show villains as sympathetic, we've seen plenty of those: Darth Vader, Severous Snape, Jerry Lundergard (and really any of the antagonists in the actual Fargo series), Walter White, etc but the audience is only supposed to feel bad for about a second. That usually changes when they go off murdering someone. That's my point - just because Blue is still mourning Pink or because Rose Quartz has her gem in the same location of Pink, doesn't mean they are these pillars of the community and we shouldn't fear them.
A perfect example is Garnet. Here's Blue Diamond crying up a storm, weepy as can be, but people tend to forget that Garnet was TERRIFIED of even being NEAR Blue. Garnet was SO FRIGHTENED she couldn't even stop Steven from his stupid, idiotic plan (which was replaced by his even more idoitic plan in I Am My Mom). Even Ruby and Sapphire were panicked when having to stand before her. And none of these folks ever mention how Blue turned on a DIME when Holly brought those two. Weepy to Angry like a snap.
And then there's Pearl. Regardless of who you think Pearl belonged to, she can't even say that person's NAME. "When I still worked for...Homeworld." Whoever she DID work for is obviously terrifying enough Pearl can't even say her name. These are not peaceful rulers who went looking to expand their empire and had to fight off hostile forces.
Gems are a conquering race. They conquer, there is no "hey there, could we get a part of the land here? Maybe you all want to join up with us?" I have a theory that the 'corruption wave' as everyone calls it ISN'T corruption, but a destructive force used to wipe out everything on a planet that stands in their way. It was on ly on Earth that it somehow changed.
what i'm mostly looking forward about white diamond is her design honestly. The two diamonds we've seen so far are completly unique in design and even gem shape. I really wanna know how the crewniverse will make white different from her fellow diamonds.

When you said "I look deep into the context of steven universe" that made me think about life.....so much I started playing on a calculator, calculating how many times I replayed that.
I'm so excited to see some gems from White Diamond's court. Clear Quartzes, Goshenites, Moonstones, White Agates, a White Sapphire... I feel like they'd all be very ominous; quiet, but clearly very powerful. I can't shake the idea of lines of Clear Quartz warriors defending White Diamond's throne. I'm hyped.

I can't wait to see how her story unfolds and to FINALLY see someone from her court. Idk how we've made it 5 seasons without it, but here we are. I'm with you on WD being the originator of gem corruption, in the Art & Orgins sketch, that pyramid looked like it did originally contain a "Black Diamond" after all. It looks almost identical to the mural of White, and I feel like the only reason the crewniverse changed the design was because it was TOO simple to connect the dots. Awesome video! Honestly, I love your discussions on Steven Universe. You are the only theorizer I will watch when it comes to this show. Most other people's theories that I have seen, look like nothing but fanfiction to me :p
Just my own theory but could white diamond have shattered pink diamond on accident when trying to hit rose quartz. Because that's what it looks like it's happening in the mural on the moon base when you see a picture of what looks to be rose quartz and a diamond in front of her and beyond that a diamond that is about to strike a possibly fatal blow.

i have a theory about pearls origins, we know pearls are custom made and come in pretty much every color, and if we look at their eyes yellow pearl has yellow eyes, blue pearl we cant see them but rhodonite being part pearl (which served a morganite and so is most likely pink)has what appear to be pink eyes in one of her pairs. the CG pearl has a very light cyan/blue pair of eyes so i wonder if this might be a lead to who may have owned her, we cant simply go by her gem being white meaning white diamond as all pearls so far are actually white gems, blue and yellow have white gems.
really want to see pearls backstory, rose did say all 3 were long stories and pearls has yet to be told

For White Diamonds court/servants, I keep picturing this long line of marching army gems that are all completely identical (like a an army of stormtroppers)
{6:20} I know maybe someone's already said this but if you look back when yellow diamond is singing the song, "what's the use of feeling, Blue?" At the end of the song you can see yellow diamond start getting sad I think that was the feeling of regret or something it just look like it to me.
We don't really know anything about her, so personality wise is rather complex. She has never been mentioned before and we have never seen her. The only thing that we know about her is based upon her moral, we have yet so much to cover, mysteries that yet have been sloved, characters we have to see. I don't really expect much from White diamond, since we know nothing about her
We went from meeting a character that had powers that he thought could be activated via cookie cat. we have matured and grown at such speeds that I cant even wrap my brain around it. Its insane.

Kinda been thinking about how to cure corruption. I heard a theory somewhere that the corrupted gems would need a photograph of themselves to see what they looked like to revert back to their former forms. So, would looking at a gem of the same cut be the same as looking at a photo? They are literally copies of themselves.
Imagine a finale where some gems from Homeworld abandon The Diamonds and reunite with their corrupted families, who realize who they are supposed to be. Then The Crystal Gems would actually have a fighting chance against Homeworld to wage a second war.
That would be pretty epic.

I theorise that pink diamond actually helped the rebellion and wanted to look after earth, which makes sense considering in the time she was operational she semi-colonised only one planet, and that when the other diamonds found out, they had to make a cover up story, with white diamond altering the memories of her court.

As far as White Diamond goes, I have three possible predictions for her, based on characters from different franchises that could be most similar to her:
1)Aku (Samurai Jack): Is just a tyrant with a massive ego and power, but has a sense of humor unlike her daughters.
2)Brainiac (Superman Unbound version): Was artificially created for a task, but a flaw in her programming caused her to create the gem empire and destroy planets. Having zoos like Pink but on a more massive scale would also be a nice touch.
3) Missingno (AT4W): Full on outer goddess that can't be defeated through conventional means.

I just want White Diamond to be an amazing villain/character in general. Like you said in the video, I expect the mere mention of her name to strike paralyzing fear into anyone who hears it (and knows of her.) However, it would be a good move to finally have verbal references of her in the new season, build it up with meeting her gems, and then ending it with finally seeing her in oerson. There is also the possibility that she will only be mentioned and never make an appearance (which I hope will not be the case, lol.) I just want an amazing villain again!
