Thanks for the video. I just installed my switches today. I ran into a couple problems and I’m wondering if you saw the same. The blue box at the end of the console (furthest away from rear view mirror) handles the inputs from the motion sensors in the vehicle. I had to swap my box from my old console to the new in order for the motion sensors to work. I imagine the new one needed to be programmed but swapping seemed the easiest route. Beware if you go this path yourself, the plastic molded clips that hold the sensors in place are very easy to break. I broke one and was able to use the panel from the other console to fix it. In addition to this, there was no microphone installed in my new console. (Maybe I didn’t get the right console.) I lucked out here too as I was able to remove the microphone from the old console along with the harness and install it into the new console. After that, everything worked perfectly.
Thanks for mentioning that, you can use the module in the new overhead console, and it can be programmed to work via FORScan. We got mine to work using this method. Either one works as you've found out in case anyone else is running into the same issue with their upfitter conversion.

Find a 2022 on the lot with the upfitter switches with the interior colours you have, grab the Vin and go to the parts department, they'll be able to use that bin to pull up the parts list for the upfitter switches. That's exactly how I got the parts list for mine

It's a feature on the Raptor so I figure it should be possible. Can't confirm though how difficult it would be on an F150
What did this cost? Prob 4x more than off the order sheet lol
Obviously if you can, get the switches when you order your truck. If you're like me though, and got a really good deal on a left over truck that sat on the lot, then this is your option. Doesn't hurt that I got to learn something doing this upgrade as well.
Lol, I’m handy but that’s not Plug and Play. Good job none the less!
Thanks! It's plug-and-play in the sense that all the connectors and harnesses are already made, purchasable and require no fabrication on the end users part to install assuming you're talking about the upfitter switches (yes it is quite time consuming from start to finish, but if you're patient it's not difficult). The elevated idle does require a bit of soldering and wiring, as with any accessory you plan to wire up.
so i looked at all the comments to make sure someone did not ask this but i typed the first one into google and got nothing HC3ZI4A303F any help would be great.
and i typed the other one and that came up with nothing also
nvm you have to type it like HC3Z-14A303-F
I own 2 F250s I never saw the need for it.
Depends on what you use the truck for. I have elevated idle, front and rear aux lights and winch control all running off my upfitter switches.
@@55quadboy I farm out of my trucks, they make really good work trucks . I like basic trucks
See this one is deleted to
Nice pickup
can this be done on a F150?
Yes
What’s dis
Kevin... LoL.
It would have been easier at the factory!
Yes, obviously. This mod is for people who want to do it to trucks that weren't equipped with switches from the factory
@@55quadboy no kidding
Do you realize the video is way more information then you need to know longer then it takes to install longer then it took me to install aux1 up fitter for my light bar aux2 for the high idle thats starting from scratch......no ones likes half hour videos...."you didnt go too far in detail" you said that ...went way Past too far shorten video mannnnnn
Do you know if this applies to a 6.2 gas ?? Same part numbers and procedure??
I'm not too sure, I know they do have upfitters and there is a resister chart for elevated idle on the Ford body builder advisory site
would you know if a F150 has the existing connector in the wheel well?
This I'm unsure of, I know on the Raptor trim they get the same console with switches. I'd get the switch panel then inquire about the associated harnesses from the F-150 Raptor to do the job.
@@55quadboy Thank you.I have the switch panel, just need to figure out the harness part. on F150 forum someone is selling a made up harness that they say is needed, but according to your video i just need purchase the two harnesses. I will check my wheel well today. Thanks again.
@@actfitwil did you find out if this is possible to do on f150?

This video shows you how to install up fitter switches to a truck that didn't come with them in the first place, not "just" how to hook something up to an already existing switch (my truck never came with any of the switches)
