- Welcome back to another exciting episode of Chords & Coffee, the weekly show where we dive deep into all things music with your host, Nate White!
"Modes" are sometimes presented in a way that makes them seem complicated or more difficult than they actually are. Adding a little modal flavor to your playing is something you can "trick" yourself into! In this episode of Chords & Coffee, our dear brother Mike subjects himself to being "tricked" into playing a few modes with minimal pain and effort. You can do this too! Grab a hot cup of coffee, a cool guitar and let's get to it!
The content of Chords & Coffee is driven by the comment section, so if you have a question about anything, let us know in the comments! No question is "too stupid." We are all learning, and we are all in this boat together.

That green Carr is beautiful.
Jason (my Palen instructor) touched on modes in a past lesson. This episode really helped me see modes in action, and increased my understanding of those 3 modes. Thanks!
Jason is such a great guitarist and teacher! I learn something from him every time I get a chance to just listen to him talk about music. He is such an incredible person as well, we are truly blessed to have him on our team. 🙏
Looking forward to this! Always struggled with understanding modes, today is the day Nate unlocks them for me!!!
Was this helpful? Your feedback is always welcome! 🙏
@@naterevolution Absolutely! A "kinder and gentler" explanation than when I was in music school lol!
