  • Jinnah house or South Court or Malabar mansion is the house Mohammed Ali Jinnah built in the year 1936 when he returned from England and took the reigns of handling the Muslim League.
Jinnah was very fond of this house and was involved in building this house 'brick by brick' he had specially imported Italian marbles from Italy also Italian masons to build this house.
Jinnah stayed in this house for 10 years before he moved to Karachi. This house was also witness to two meeting , one with Jinnah with Mahatma Gandhi and another with Jawaharlal Nehru, this was the same house where partition of India was discussed and decided.
the area of this plot is 2.5 acres.

he had absolute vision that is why Pakistan emerged om the map of the world so that may the Muslims not face any further atrocities inflicted by the Hindus, and moreover, the casualties which happened at the time of partition was due to the Britishers' mindset of divide and rule policy so that both the nations may hate each other even after partition and may never be united

Earlier and maybe now the address is 1, South Cross . Maybe it was built costing Rs 2 Lakhs but JINNAH delayed payment to the architect for substantial time. He was stingy after getting work done. Like Tanya Khan who never paid Field Marshal Manekshaw for the motorcycle he took in 1947. It was only Rs 1000= which never paid. Pak leaders are like that.

In all fairness, None of our Freedom Fighters (including Jinnah) never envisioned the killings and the destruction that followed. The manner and the management of Partition by the British and the uncontrollable dynamics of the times should not be tagged on to Jinnah alone
