- Unboxing the OnePlus 10R with a side-by-side comparison vs the OnePlus 10T, to see how the camera, gaming performance and specs stack up. The OnePlus 10R is a more affordable flagship alternative, boasting Mediatek's excellent Dimensity 8100 Max SoC - versus the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 in the OnePlus 10T.
Despite the specifications alteration, both phones will please game fans. Genshin Impact is a smooth experience even on higher graphics settings, while the OnePlus 10R sports the same gaming mode as the 10T.
That camera tech remains the same, so both smartphones can capture attractive everyday pics and 4K video. The Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS is dependable across all kinds of conditions.
The OnePlus 10R is also a capable media machine just like the 10T. You have a crisp OLED screen, plus a decent enough stereo speaker setup and effective Bluetooth connectivity. Battery tech is more complicated however, as the black 10R model sports a smaller 4500mAh capacity but faster 150W charging, vs the 5000mAh 80W green version. Meanwhile the OnePlus 10T has a 4800mAh battery, with the 150W charging support.

Hanging onto my 8T for now. Curious to see what OnePlus does after the 10 overall coz the 9 & 10 didn't move me. They keep constantly moving from what made them great with each variant 😩, the OnePlus 6 being their last great phone

Now with the whole Oppo thing i reckon unless the 11 is good I'll end up having to finally switch from OnePlus to something else.
@@TheOnlyTaps was in your situation till yesterday. Just got the 10T to replace my 6T. Loving it thus far. The 120 refresh is amazing and charging speed is ridiculous. No downside to report. I really don't get all the hate that OnePlus receives day in and day out. They literally returned to their roots with 10T (yes they used to use more flagship design materials and the phone is now £100 more expensive but I would take it over other "best value for money" options. No bloatware, better software support, cleaner OS)
@@Celmak1 Ah makes sense. Appreciate the feedback from someone who owns a 10T. Good to hear. And i think the hate is slightly deserved coz they abandoned their roots a bit with basically all the models that came after the 6, but if they are now returning to their roots with the 10 then that's good. Coz I'm still hesitant on switching just yet coz i still got time till my 8T (touch wood and cross fingers) gives up on me and dies. But good to hear cox yeah there's been definitely more pros than cons with the 10 seemingly more than the 9, just nothing that fully convinced me yet but that's not a slight on them as a company more just me as an individual i ain't tryna be disappointed again so I'm being super cautious with my next buy if you will :)

I'm on a 5T still and my partner is on a 9 which has been a piece of crap other than having a pretty solid camera. I guess I'll switch to a Nothing because the 5T is crashing quite a bit these days.
Pretty happy with the oneplus 9. Camera is killer for sunny days on the beach. The oneplus carbon fiber case makes it feel excellent in the hand.

OnePlus have been making some solid looking hardware these days. That being said it does feel like they have been sort of trying to become the next Samsung with the number of phones that they have been launching.
meh their hardware isn't better then any other Chinese phone company, that 10R is pretty ugly
@@VaunShiz Depends which one. Xiaomi isn't one for sure, they have decent cameras but that's about it. Software is absolutely garbage

Left oneplus this year. My nord 2 still is on Android 11 with no android 12 news is Europe. Used a lot of their phones but they slipped up. I don't think I'll be going back.
My Nord 2 got android 12 updates around two or more months ago...

If you are willing to pay a significant price difference. You can take 10t. I am not ready to overpay for the minimum difference between them.
There is too much hate for 10r !! I dont get it ..its a solid phone with great screen,good main camera,good haptics, great charging and battery life....i am loving the experience so far,.and it only costed me 23k after exhange!🙌 Way better value for money than the OnePlus 10t considering that this phone is almost the same ,but with dimensity chipset.... Also the plastic build isnt that bad, atleast in the black variant...

i agree my 10r is a beast worth it for only P18k php.. can run max graphics and frame rates on ragnarok mobile.. unlike other brands in same price as 10r..

I still have my OnePlus 6T and I love her! She is bashed, bruised and lags big time but I can't find a phone out there that gets me amped the same way at the 6T did when I first saw it back in the day.

Maybe hold out for the next Pixel Phone, or grab the 6a if you aren't looking for a big option. If you can renewed versions of Samsung S21 line up is also a solid choice, if you don't mind a used product.
If you really need a great camera get the 6a, if you need 120hz and wireless charge get the nothing (or get pixel 6, it's only $50 more than 6a right now)

I had the OnePlus 7T almost since it launched and it was still going so good.. until it took a swim in the sea and the cameras died 😭
I just switched to the Nothing Phone 1, so far all great! Few software hiccups that have been ironed out, and battery life isn't incredible..
(I wasn't moved by any of the OnePlus 9&10s)

Yes. You have to check stuff like LTE bands and Widevine level. The R models are typically meant for India

Their recent offerings from 8 and above really don't offer much for me.

After 1+ 2,3,6.. I moved to S20FE last year.
Recently got a realme gt2. Absolutely over the moon with it and gaming performance is exceptional with the Snapdragon 888 and 65w fast charging.

I've been using a 1+ 10T for a couple of weeks and it's not a bad phone actually. I'm happy so far. Fast charging is a breeze. The phone is fast and the touch is responsive. The camera is okish but it doesn't matter to me.
Is it slippery without a cover? Do you have the green or the black one?

It's available only in India it seems. I'm from here and it costs ₹38999 for the 12/256 version with the 80w charging, and ₹39999 for the 150w charging. If you see, this guy has the Indian variant looking at the charging socket.

It's worth the money I feel but it's only getting 2 years of updates so it might not last much longer at this point. Maybe but it with in mind to upgrade to a different OP phone with a trade in in about a few months to a year. The Nord 2t I think outperforms it and came out more recently, check that out

Same camera hardware .... but couldn't the results be vastly different as they would have different AI processing or whatever because of the different CoD and mushy peas makers - sorry chip manufacturers?
