Awesome! Was lurking in here last night hoping for a new vid. Always so great watching you sketch.

Hey! I'm a very big fan of your work! I always thought of how sketching in toned tan paper brings out more life to the drawing. I was wondering if there is a (poor industrial design student) alternative to your copic markers? And that you would recommend. Thanks Reid!

Kyle Arby Santos hi, thanks for checking out my work. Yes prismacolor and chartpak are good but they cannot be refilled so they are more expensive in the long run. I suggest you get copic cool grey set and then start building out one color at a time. It is more worth your money

Alternatively, if you're looking for reasonably priced Alcohol Markers which ship to the US give Ohuhu a look. A decent alternative within the same price bracket are Winsor & Newton which are slightly cheaper than Copic depending on where you live in the world but are often considered better than Copic by a lot of Marker artists.
Ohuhu are nearly unbeatable for price to performance. $0.84 - $1 for each marker when you buy the bulk sets. It seems impossible looking at the price of Copics but don't take my word, look for marker artists on youtube they'll tell you the same. They have replaceable nibs and I'm sure with time they'll introduce refills. Their quality is up there with the best.
