Your content is consistently top-notch-clear, insightful, and incredibly timely. This video couldn’t have come at a better moment for me. There are two things in this world that we could all do without: credit bureaus and ATS scans. They’re cut from the same cloth, and not in a good way. Both are notorious for tripping people up-credit bureaus make it a nightmare to recover from temporary financial setbacks, while ATS scans can toss out a brilliant candidate over something as trivial as a misplaced date. It’s like neither system was designed with common sense or real-world logic in mind. They’re practically impossible to master, and even when you manage to beat the ATS, there’s still no consistent standard for hiring managers. You end up getting feedback that’s all over the map, leaving you to wonder if anyone’s on the same page.
Really helpful. I'm changing industries and feel baffled by how much hiring conventions have changed in the last decade and how fast they continue to change. Thanks for the template!
Your videos are really helpful and so are your templates. But not gonna lie, I struggle with quantifying achievements. I’ve never worked at companies that tracks them. I always get positive feedback, but “my boss really liked it” won’t cut it 😆
Same. I ran it through chat gpt and it spit out some percentages and such. I asked it to quantify my results. I also did some research on typical to good results for the particular bullet points that matched the job performance I delivered.
I am about 15 years of experience into my field and have held 5 positions but this tends to fill up the resume pages quickly. Is there ever an acceptable 3 page resume or may we simply state " prior roles and achievements available upon request" ? Thanks !
Great Information, thanks! Would you recommend putting bullet points to the "Professional Summary", so it mirrors the "Professional Experience" section? Just curious?
I recently purchased this resume template, but when I downloaded it, I was prompted to sign in with a Microsoft subscription. Could you clarify why this is necessary? I expected it to be compatible with Google Docs, as mentioned, but I'm unable to open it there. Please advise on how I can access the template as intended.
I’m having a very similar issue. 15yrs of Sales, numerous roles each with numerous hats worn, each job a different job description. My resume is three pages long even with editing so many times.
I had my resume revised using AI and used an ATS based evaluation app to evaluate and rate my resume. My original got a 48% rating. I went back and forth telling AI to adjust my resume based on what comments I got from the ATS system and by the time I got to 68% rating, my resume looks great but even I dont recognize my resume anymore. Whats worse is, this was as far as I can go with the free version and if I wanted to get a higher rating I need to upgrade to a paid version. What BS this is! This is the reason why I say that this type of s@$t is making HR Lazy and will never end up with great candidates because while the resume looks awesome, the candidate will end up failing the interview in the end. A resume is supposed to reflect a candidates work experience and how it will align with the companys requirements. If the company wants to hear more then they request for an interview. What happens here is that great candidates are "weeded out" just because they did not put a keyword or they did not wow the reader with high faluting words. Frustrating.

How many pages max for a senior executive with over 20 years of relevant experience and about ten lengthy worded certifications?

Which resume template can recent grads with no work experience purchase? Thanks!
I would suggest employing a functional resume, which is focused more on skills and less on experience.
@@JohnnyWSTND thank you!
