Hi sir, can you do some critique video? I have study a lot but there is some thing that feel doesn't right in my artwork. I want to improve this coloring style more.
I hope this'll reach you soon.
Hey bro, great art. I'd like to chat with you can I send you an email?
sure! i'll put up an email for that soon!
sure!
awesome!!
This is the artist equivalent of that one weird guy from India that teaches you how to do your Algebra homework
LMAO🤣🤣🤣 you’re cray
Yeah..... but he’ s still a really good artist whose able to grab the short attention span I was cursed with.
i hate how right you are LOL
but ngl he's a good teacher- saved my ass a few times!!!

Lol that is literally one of my friends in my geometry class 😂

"You should really ask an artist to use their work before downloading it and showing it"
Most instagram "art sharing" channels: *i'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that*
Hahaha crazyyyy!!
Right, I thought it was a nice touch. We should see more of this from the whole community.
2:33 - "This is a Lost Edge" - Mohammed, this is incorect - allow me to explain why - a lost edge is when the viewr cannot detect anymore where the edge begins or when it ends. so that edge on her right shoulder is "Soft Edge". ty for the video - Do more!
Came to say the same thing, it's pretty important to get this stuff right or people might get confused later on. Also at 6:50 you say that it's casting a shadow but that edge is actually form shadow and not cast. Keep it up!
I was going to comment the same thing. Mistakes happens. Living is learning, after all xD

This is how I want to shade. Thanks for the breakdown
Thanks man! I’m glad you could learn something man!!
Same
This makes so much sense! As soon as you blended the “curving” shadow and kept the cast shadow sharp, it immediately looked so correct. I’m definitely going to apply this in the future, thank you!
Thanks for watching! I’m glad I could help!
Ambient occlusion, is where even the naturally reflected light can't reach. Great tip, you're very good at explaining technique.
This comment accidentally saved me! Currently unfucking up all my minecraft shaders now XD
Love the new setup!! Amazing!!!
Thanks Brother!!!

@@MohammedAgbadi oof! that truth kinda stings!
i'll paint a butt looking smol bean
Mohammed Agbadi Someone taped a banana on a modern art museum’s wall as a prank and the people visiting and even the staff thought it was part of the exhibition lmao
Though if anything, that empty canvas selling for millions of dollars is a prime example of an excuse to just launder large amounts of money around
I love your accent, it's relaxing to listen to haha
Hahah Thankyou!! I’ll definitely make more talking head videos for you!
My girlfriend wasn't even watching the video and commented that she loved your voice 🤷🏻♂️

If only teachers at art school made things so clear. Thanks bro :)
Thanks so much man!!! I’m doing my best!
I've missed a lot.
Even the intro has change
Ahah yeah man!!! Make sure you catch up hahah!!!
Hmm... From just hearing Mohammed's deep voice I thought he was this super buff artist that drew art and made these videos in the gym while pumping those squats 24/7.
I guess you can't judge a book by the.... Voice?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Lmaoooo
This is great. Color theory is fine but light behavior is probably the most important and this video really brings it down to a simplified, easy to digest theory.

Your videos are so high quality and you explain very thoroughly, finding your channel was the best thing to happen in my week so far! I'm really excited to draw and grow better as an artist using your resources this year! ♡
Thanks so much! I’m really glad I could help!!

That was dope.
I used to draw a lot when I was younger, and I plan to get back into it - I have an interest in animation and games design.
Those two techniques alone are really going to help me when I actually start drawing again, so thanks a lot.

I wasn't done with the video, but with the "please reach out to artists before using their art" comment, you got my like and this message.
thank you friend!
Mohammed Agbadi Just sharing some appreciation ;)
dam this was actually really helpful, gotta start doing this
Thanks so much man!!!
Man I love your way of explaining things, it's so clear and simple unlike some other artists who go all technical and I forget what they wanted to say before they get to the point. Subscribe!
Hahah Thankyou!
I love your videos! I just recently stumbled upon them while working on a design. I like how you break down the steps and the reasoning behind while keeping it simple. Your videos have helped me a lot!
Thanks so much!!!! I’m glad I could help out!
2:05 That's not a lost edge, it's a soft edge. Soft, but definitely still a found edge. Lost edges are edges that "blend", for example, a dark object blending into a dark background - you're not able to tell where the edge is anymore, therefore it's literally lost. Image search on "lost edge" shows example pictures with explanations. :)
Yeah soft edge! Made a mistake! I’m human
Nicely put together tutorial, I'm going to try do this in my own work. Thank you.
You just gained a sub. That was a great tutorial! Keep it up man
Thanks so much!
Just discovered your videos, they are amazing. Thank you for your hard work.
Thanks so much man! I’ll do my best to keep making videos!!!
This is a really good rendering tutorial, nice art too! But as far as i know from art classes and digital rendering, ambient occlusion is when light (or colored light from objects around it) is reflected on a shadowed area making it lighter (and or colored). A good example for this would be when you painted the white on the shadows of the potato thingy at 10:25
That is actually called the fresnel effect in 3D, and it’s bounce light from other objects reflecting back into the shadows.
Thanks for highlighting new artists for us.
Thanks so much!
I sometimes forget how small your channel is when comparing to your massive skill level and outstanding quality for your videos
I'm not a native english speaker so it's a little harder to underatand your accent but your videos help me out a lot! Thank youuu i love your videos!
Always so clear! I'm from Brazil and even to me it's too simple to understand what ur talking about and catch the subject in the best way, keep going bro! (your accent helps too much)
thanks so much bro!
This was incredibly informative, thank you!! I got a tablet for Christmas after only really doing traditional art for my entire life, so seeing *how* you do these things is so helpful. Again, thank you!
Thanks so much!
This just drew together (no pun intended) every little scrap ive gathered on shading over the past four years and explained how to achieve the look ive been going for. Your videos are always so helpful. Thank you! :')

Sure! Thankyou so much!
Your intro alone had more quality than a lot of videos
Hahaha thanks
Accidentely find your video and no regrets. Thanks a lot!
thanks so much for watching!!!
Hey ! Just wanted to say that these videos are very helpful, I've been watching your videos a lot recently and this format is what you do the best tbh ! I'm not saying that the other ones are bad haha (in fact, i learned a lot from them mostly from the greyscale one !) but these kind of (quality) breakdowns like these are quite rare on youtube !
Thanks so much!! I’ll keep doing more of these!!!
I just started digital art recently, I'm very happy with my new tablet I thought the transition from traditional to digital would be harder but I'm having a blast so far.
I'm grateful to have found this channel, so many good tips and techniques!
thanks so much!!! i'm glad you're learning as much as i am!
I feel so relaxed when I watch your videos to apply new techniques to my art projects.
Thanks for the great video. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a better explanation of ambient occlusion and lost lines.
I’m so happy I found you channel!!!! I find it very informative and easy to watch!!!!💕💕💕
I now know the channel, nor started the video and I have seen that is a humble guy for answering almost all comments. Force brother!

your channel is quickly becoming one of my favorite art channels, especially since you are one of the only ones doing comic oriented art! have you done inking? I would love to see a video on that!

I just want to say thank you for what you do! ✨💖 Your videos are really helpful. I know how to use ambient occlusion in 3D, but I never thought about using AO in artworks. It's just blowing my mind, haha
Ahah yes it works it 2d too! Thanks for watching!
I died when he said it started to feel like potato 😂😂😂
Hahaha🤣🤣 yeah!!
@Mohammed Agbadi In the beginning that is not a lost edge! It is a soft edge. A lost edge is something you for example can find in a Caravaggion painting when you only see a part of a form because the rest is swallowed by shadows for example. A soft edge is just a soft transition between two shapes/ planes, most of the time communicating that there is a plane shift that isn't immediate. Which means it shows a curved surface.
YOU ARE THE BEST, PERSONALLY I APRECIATE ALL THE TRICKS TO MAKE MORE SIMPLE AND FAST DRAW.

Firstly, that is a way cute outfit. Good work. Also, thank you so much for this video, understanding how ambient occlusion works can be such a mystery
The Wind Waker (HD version) comes to mind.

Hey, this cool sound video demonstrating principles of Lost Edge, Ambience Occlusion and Light source from the Top. 3 principles, looking forward to level up my work after this video. Thank you very much for art rhythm and message you share!
I dig the shirt and hat. And! The RDR red that also matches your color scheme ;) This is a very balanced and pleasing scene. Loads of contrast. Plus, thanks for the info. As always. Great knowledge and delivery.

Thank you for making this video and for sharing your knowledge in art, this is the first video I watched from you and I already love your channel
Thanks so much!!
Hey, I just wanted to thank you! I found your video yesterday and decided to stay all night practicin, and by the morning, just by lookin at my new drawing I got a feelin like I kinda achieved the level I could only dream a day before. Thank you again, preciate it.
Great quality as usual. You will grow giant in no time! I appreciate the floating butt to demonstrate shading lol
I have a video request: Can you do an intermediate/advanced level video about blending? Similar to your how to create texture-video, but not focused on what texture is appropriate, but what brushes&techniques to use to create which effect.
I only find videos for beginners that say "use the smudge tool to smooth and the eraser for hard edges" but that's neither new nor helpful.
After years of being a traditional artist I switched to digital a month ago but I struggle to make my shading look dynamic.
I'm used to the paper and structure of the paint creating texture. Digital everything comes out too smooth. How can I create smooth skin and interesting looking fur?
shur! i can do that!! thankyou!!
@@MohammedAgbadi never would have expected you to read my comment, made my day! 😊
Thank you! :)
Steini Stein anytime ! Thank you for your suggestions.
There is an artist called Nurzhan Bekkaliyev who also works in this way. Always amazed by his shadow work.
