Anyone who claims to be a rap fan should be anticipating his new album. I been recycling thru his past singles and albums for the last few years. Joey makes timeless music. This new album will prove to me it isn’t necessary to drop all the time if you take the time to make quality music.

Now ppl dont even care abt music, they make a whole 20 song album full of songs with little reply value instead of 13 who are more catchy and feels good even the third time listening to it. It’s very rare you get an artist like Joey who was living in the shadow of his “illmatic” 1999 creating another flawless body of work that really feels like the spitball successor to that first iconic album. If you haven’t heard the album please go run up them streams so that man get the credit he deserves. No reason we can’t make this hit atleast 150k first week sales. I’ve had the album on repeat since it dropped

He did release "The Light Pack" in 2020, it was really good. The numbers won't be great, but I do believe it will be a very good body of work. It's not like his last album wasn't a contender for album of the year when it released.

Joey is on the verge of being a top 10 rapper of all time to me, and the real thing his next album will determine will be if he ends up in that top 10. If he gets that next undeniable classic, he enters that top 10 all time for me. Joey deserves everybody’s respect.
Always loved Joey’s 90s boom bap style and beat selection. Flow is unorthodox and lyrically he can keep up with the Kendricks and the J Coles. Hyped af for this album based on the singles

I think people need to realize that rappers aren’t just rappers. They’re real life people and sometimes they have different ambitions and music isn’t a top priority to them anymore. If anything I feel we shouldn’t be anticipating a new album to drop and just let Joey live his life how he wants to live his life. If he does drop a new album then cool that’s dope, but if he doesn’t then that’s fine as well. Note: When I said anticipating I didn’t mean to leave Joey in the dust or anything like that, but if an album drop is prioritized over the rapper themselves, then that’s an issue
I saw him in Toronto like 2 weeks ago. 2,500 capacity. The entire place was going crazy and I was surprised at how many people there knew all the lyrics. He has a loyal fan base.

He is the kind of rapper that can take a long hiatus and still come back with awesome music. Also, 1999 was a top 5 project of the 2010s decade, it would be classic no matter when it’s released.
Joey is on the verge of being a top 10 rapper of all time to me, and the real thing his next album will determine will be if he ends up in that top 10. If he gets that next undeniable classic, he enters that top 10 all time for me. Joey deserves everybody’s respect.
Always loved Joey’s 90s boom bap style and beat selection. Flow is unorthodox and lyrically he can keep up with the Kendricks and the J Coles. Hyped af for this album based on the singles

I think people need to realize that rappers aren’t just rappers. They’re real life people and sometimes they have different ambitions and music isn’t a top priority to them anymore. If anything I feel we shouldn’t be anticipating a new album to drop and just let Joey live his life how he wants to live his life. If he does drop a new album then cool that’s dope, but if he doesn’t then that’s fine as well.
Note: When I said anticipating I didn’t mean to leave Joey in the dust or anything like that, but if an album drop is prioritized over the rapper themselves, then that’s an issue
