It’s gets very scary when you’re in your late 20s and getting close to that 30 number and you’ve yet to do anything or even know what you’re passionate about
Peoples who life is an identity crisis because they don’t realize that they are just growing. We try to set too many thoughts and beliefs in stone not knowing that life is still moving. You don’t know enough to make almost anything concrete. We set our identity in outside things.
That was a pretty good analogy Joey gave towards the end, most of these artists don’t know what they’re talking about, but I liked that explanation he gave about brand identity vs artistry
We need to did deep on why he didn’t want to be looked at as a 90s boom nap revivalist. Just for the core fans because that was clearly some of his best work
Basically he doesn't live life for you.. He appreciates the support but wants to live life his way & wants to able to experiment & be that artist I guess he envisioned..
I felt this!! When Joey linked up with the beast coast collective for an album his music switched up. I didn't like it at all. That's not what I signed up for. I want that original east coast boombap sound. So I stopped fucking with Joey and I started listening to da cloth, hologram, cime apple, griselda etc. But Joey's new album brought us back! Thanks Joey
I’m glad he recognize this and I hope he drops some good shit. I haven’t been a Joey listener since. B4DA$$ . If boldy James westside Gunn, Alc, Bronson, can stay true to the style without switching up so can he. I always look toward this guy for raps. Then he dropped devastated and it was basically over. Even the neo soul sound wasn’t that great.
When everybody got at Kendrick lamar for that verse with big sean...in Joe's reply he went at a few people and joey being one of them. His line was..."To Me there's only 1 Joey that's badass" referring to himself 💯

I believe many of us between the ages of 26 to 30 in this time and age definitely has been through some form of an identity crisis.

Not just in this time, THROUGHOUT TIME! LOL. Y'all ain't the first or last.
@@d.felixphoto2260 no one wants to be the first. We want to call attention to it, so that someday, someone can be the last.
@@caliprime3260 shit I'm just saying all men go through it at the same time period. It's not new
