No one deserves to rest in peace. We all deserve to be sent to hell for our crimes against God. We're given rest out of the Grace of God. But only if you accept Jesus as your needed Lord and Savior. And Shaver has attested to that on many occasions.
I've enjoyed Billy Joe for many year's. Since the SHAVER Album. As a True Brit & a Londoner I just love "His English" ! (LOL) "I wasn't born, no yesterday" just one example. He and Chris Wall are two of my Favorite Singer Songwriter's.... I believe NO ONE can sing a song as well as the writer..... I'd like to add, Martraca Berg as another underrated SINGER Songwriter, well worth investigating.....
I was at this show helping the promoter out and had the opportunity to hangout with Billy Joe Shaver then and the following shows he did later in Raleigh and Charlotte. As a leather worker I made a belt just like his and been wearing ever since. I have them available.
@@doublesharp5795 obviously I don't check this much. You can go to ebay and look for Billy Joe Shaver belt and I can take care of it for you much obliged
I just bought the CD of Billy Joe and Kinky Friedman in concert together. All I can say is phenomenal!! I wish I knew about Billy Joe Shaver before he went to that Glorious Expection that he hoped for. He was just amazing! Thank you so much for this.
If you ever met him you would see what a nice humble man he was. Yes maybe he had a temper but I bet most people never saw it. He was so proud of Eddie. I think because Billie Joe left school in the 8th grade Eddie could also start early in the music industry. It seemed to work except for the drugs part.
Also the last song is "You just can't beat Jesus Christ", not "If you don't love Jesus, Go to hell" Dan. Great show though, thanks for this video (and all the others).
IM SORRY IM A BIG TEXAS PU$$Y. THIS MAKES ME CRY. HE WROTE A BEAUTIFUL SONG. SEEN HIM BACK IN 2015 OUTSTANDING OUTSTANDING GOD BLESS BILLIE JOE and AMERICA
Well that first one didn't come out right when we was referring to who you would rather have babysit your kids the fat guy under the tree he was referring to who was not Santa it was Buddha
Love and miss Billy Joe Shaver.
He survived a very hard life, and truly deserves to rest in peace. One of the greats.
There is no doubt. 😇🙏🏽
