After 40 years they still deliver. Suggs still the man!!
Suggs is a woman
❤
There it is again 😊. The wonderful incredible and beautiful sound of Madness. Thank you very much, old chums. I'm proud and lucky, that we've grown old together 😎.
Madness still got it! Great new album. I wish they got more airplay instead of all those plastic pop artists who cannot play one instrument and only sing with auto-tune.
I haven't listened to the radio or watched TV for a very long time now. Years, maybe ! That way, I only keep in touch with the good & greatest bands (of past and present) !
Retro total
Let's face it mate, even with airplay, only die hard fans will listen to this and less will buy it since its free on Spotify and on here! I do enjoy it and and respect for still being here after 45 years, but I suspect it won't be on our playlists for long, even us oldie die hard fans. After all this time, the edge is definately lost, but its the nature of all great bands that last a long time.
@@docknightphilco4550 That is true, I am afraid. Hardly anyone pays for music these days, despite having Spotify or other streaming services. But an artist or band won't get rich of it and money has to come from touring. Back in the 50's to 90's LP and CD sales brought in the most money, but these days have been long gone.
But I don't know if the edge is gone though, it is just when they started their sound was new and fresh, which you had not heard before. Now it is hard to come up with new music/songs which is completely different, because everything has been done before and there is so much music out there, which just makes it harder to be the one to come up with something new and exciting, something we haven't heard before. The 50's to 80's and also 90's were decades with lots of new styles/genres. Maybe there is just too much music out there, like Steven Wilson said. And maybe that is the cause we don't get any new exciting new genres anymore today?
I disagree. I think they have more of an edge than they did have. Their last four albums have been masterpieces
They are releasing their best stuff in their 60s! They just get better and better! They should be inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame!
Yeah you’re right. The influence they’ve had on lesser quality bands is testament to how talented they are. Plus the speech will be very entertaining!
F the R and R HOF. Corporate assholes. The people need their own HOF. Anyway, the PEOPLE know who is deserving and thats all that matters!
Yes! Im suprised they arent in the HOF
why havent we got our own?? we dont need a yankee one.
But dont they do ska
There will NEVER be another band like madness, all these years in the industry and still producing masterpieces, so proud to be a madness fan🥺
My wife sings 'Our House' around the home which is not bad for an American. My daughter is addicted to 'Norton Folgate', 'Blackbird', 'Rise & Fall' and 'Never Knew Your Name' and insisted on visiting The Dublin Castle on a school trip, so Madness are in our blood and they continue to inject great new songs into our lives.
All we ask is they play France on their tour and we will bring a school full of kids infected with Madness.
Trust me! They’ve had hardcore American fans like me since the 2 tone days! They have influenced my dancing style, etc. Many years ago I was going to start a scooter club called The Invaders Scooter Club after them. Inspired by the “North London Invaders” original name of the band! Also later on in the nineties, was able to give them a photo that I took of Prince Buster in Florida. They were walking by me so quickly that I grabbed Suggs’ hand too hard to give it to him. The bassist came out later during a break from the show, and kidded around that I broke Suggs hand! He was “just joking!” and told me how much they liked the picture. I was horrified for a second, though! Lol!
172k subs? i can´t believe that... Madness is one of the most amazing bands in history, they deserves millions!
Amazing…was playing them at our frat parties in the early 80’s….and I’m listening to their new album at age 63….where has the time gone.
Loved Madness all the way since they burst on the planet in 1980 ,love their zany songs and mad behaviour❤,unique in every way,😊😊thrilled with this!❤❤🥰🥰🥰
Makes me so proud to be a madness fan right now.. Reading all these brilliant reviews brings a tear to the eye.. The album is a masterpiece n some of best songs of their career.. Madness back to their very best
Congratulations Boys ! Number 1 album , at least some of us have taste 😁
I have SO MUCH respect (!) for what these guys are doing now. They are transcending and laughing in the face of the inevitable while doing their best work ever. Long live Madness!
I've been a fan since 1979 and still love the Nutty boys.... Still miss Chas though 😞
Another brilliant album from madness
Isn’t it great to have one reliable band growing up . 50 now and they still deliver . Fantastic live . Love the nutty boys. 👌
Love this, that's the proper way to get old in style. Wrinkled on the outside, sparkling on the inside.
What a band almost 50 years they just keep getting better and better with age awesome new album 😁😎
I've never met a Madness album I didn't love to pieces. I sure hope they tour the US in support of this one. I was going to see them in 2020 but we all know what happened there. Long live Madness!!!
This is absolutely awesome!! I’m so happy they are still dancing up a storm !! 🖖🥰✨💖
Madness being Madness.
What an incredible master piece!
Absolute Class, all other Bands TAKE NOTE.
Yes!
I'm afraid the modern stuff we are fed just doesn't have any of this!
Best wishes from the Belfast Castlereagh Road.
The first band I ever grew up listening to when I was 9 and here I am 53 have plundered through lots of styles and tastes and I still can’t resist my first love, the new album is excellent and if you haven’t got a ticket for the tour then I suggest you get one, you won’t be disappointed. 🕺🏻
So my friend (55) gives her mom some weed (or was it acid....hmmm, cant remember) and of course mum (75) had never done THAT before....and they're hangin out, watchin the vid channel and......House of Fun vid comes on! ....and mama just busts out laughing.....and screaming w glee over what she is witnessing. What a great way to be introduced to Madness!!! (and to have your spirit revitalized!) She didnt come down from that excitement and glee for hours from what I'm told. Isnt that awesome?
Absolutely brilliant band haven’t stopped listening to the new album and just bought my wife and i tickets for the Plymouth concert cant wait .
That shot in Act 3, with the classic-style keyboard, is something special. Madness are timeless! And as a self-proclaimed sunglasses enthusiast, Suggs is my mentor - those are some damn nice Persols he's got on!
There is no substitute for the Madness in this video.
I love that they're not trying to be hip, modern, or cool at all, just being them, age and experience and class, and thereby, being ALL the aforementioned things. Madness was/is/alwayswillbe the bees knees.
I love how they have always remained an amazing band even after all these years
A real return to form. Long Live Madness!
Fantastic, timeless, special and unique band!
I was looking up Liberty of Norton Folgate, and this just popped up, I had no idea! This makes my old Gen-X ska-loving heart happy.
I absolutely LOVE it... So long waiting for real music to come back!!!!
Every part was just.. great!
Loved "Baby Burglar" the most!
Brilliant!!! As good as EVER!!! Thanks!!
That was smashin. I have loved y'all since the 80's.
❤🎶🎶🎶
❤❤ Still delivering, 40 years later, still incrediable 40 years later. C'est La Vie (this is life)
I was a child when I heard the song Our House, and I really liked it. I grew up with the classics, and then the band started making music together again in the late 1990's, and they sounded fresh! Even though my favorite type of music is "alternative rock" (broadly speaking) with atmospheric, spacey elements, and even heavier, and even though Madness don't sound anything like that, I really like the music they play. I don't know why. I guess it's because they're just old working class kids playing music that they liked, so it sounds honest.
Their first UK number 1 album!!! That’s nuts.
Madness mûrit comme le bon vin...C'est la Vie..c'est comme ça que ça doit l'être... UN GRAND BRAVO !! ❤
Love you since the 80s. 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍
Madness being.........well, Madness!!! ...listening to this is just so refreshing and to say the least, musically BRILLIANT !!!

We Love Madness!
Simply fabulous, takes me back to the 70's and 80's
First time I travel to another country just to watch a concert. See you on saturday in Newcastle with regards from Berlin.
Me he hecho mayor escuchándoos a lo largo de mi vida y como el buen vino veo que hemos envejecido bien ambos, sigo y seguire bailando con vuestra musica!! Que no pare el ritmo!!
I have grown older listening to you throughout my life and like a good wine I see that we have aged well both of us continue and will continue dancing to your music!! Don't let the rhythm stop!!
Gracias , Thanks!!
Hey you, don’t watch that, watch this, this is the heavy heavy monster sound of Madness,ONE STEP BEYOND 🎷🎷🎷🥁🎹🎼
That was absolute MADNESS and you know it
So cool that Madness put this out with still the Madness style. Love the Rocksteady and Ska vibe!
Love the new song, real throwback to your early stuff, which was the best.. hope it goes big for you all
These guys are simply amazing! Approaching 50 years together and still going strong!
I'm so glad Madness are back with some new material. They're a brilliant band and I've missed them.
41 seconds into the song, Suggs is as wonderful as ever
The strains of the chorus in my ear as I finish this to go finish the song
The joy that only madness can provide
The echoes of second wave ska still quite prevelant even in the background
#nuttyboy4life
as someone who will turn 61 in three weeks time and is a big Madness fan, even now listening to their new stuff and watching their videos is similar to drinking from the fountain of youth. Why these guys are not headlining the Saturday slot at next year's Glastonbury is beyond me,they've earned that right umpteen times over for that big one.
In a world gone mad what we really need right now is fresh, new MADNESS!!! YES!
Couldn't come at a better time...oh yes.
You are definitely the bright side of our lives. Thank you for exist!
Very interesting direction they've gone with this one. It's not bad, just...different. It's almost like Madness, but if they were in their 60s. So, I guess it kind of checks out 🤣
Just pure magic 🎩 has always love these guys Forever.
Expect the unexpected, it’s Madness!
Love it. Madness all the way, they've still got it! 😀
Absurdly Superb. Tanx, mates, keep on it, pliz.
Saw these guys only once, 40-something years ago and I'll never forget it.
Real British life in quality songs, I've always said that madness are the most underated British band ever,if you ever feel down, stick on a madness album and you're smile will come back, love them ❤
THEY'RE BACK!!!!!!! 🎶Please, Please , Please go on tour and stop by San Francisco! It's been far too long! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Loving it - more than back in the 80's, because now they are SERIOUS! though still with a fun feel. THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU !!!
There was always more seriousness in Madness' songs back then than a lot of people realised - seriousness with fun on top; not many bands do that as well as Madness in my opinion!
They have always been a serious band, the subject matters in their songs range from suicide, homelessness, Falkland's war, corrupt politicians, psychological warfare, heart attacks the list is endless really.
Absolute genius! Thank you!
Saw them in Murcia in Spain this year. Simply brilliant 🎉❤
Legend Madness!!
Great Ska 80s!!
Really great!!
Hug!
Rafa from Spain
Brilliant!
Loving it, gonna be checking out the album soon...from an early Madness fan, peace.
Very catchy and very retro still but with a modern twist still.
Don’t we just love madness, give a thumbs up if you agree 👍
Love Madness. New album fab.❤ Great job guys ❤
More Madness before I pass on to the Nether Realms; I thank you for your dedication. This old fan is grateful.
Sending a huge hug from Italy. Feeling nostalgic hearing this fantastic song and seeing the opening scenes of (unmistakably) UK. Thank you, chaps!😊
BIG LOVE from JPN

Extremely well written and arranged! Awesome!
Man, i love madness so much
1986: seems a natural end... 2009: Liberty a masterpiece...2023: still creating magic. Thank you for 45 years of invention.
seems like they have gone back to their roots, brilliant
Still the very talented nutty boys ❤❤❤❤❤
Still got that heavy heavy monsta sound!
Just brilliant, as always. Love it :)
This just made me remember that I have 91 songs on my Madness Spotify playlist,
Brilliant! The Nutty Boys are back, thank gawd! We need someone to call out the Yesterday’s Men.
Loved your music since the 1980s, you guys still rock! Xx❤
