4:20 - LOVE IT!! Wynton Marsalis said the Blues was the roux in the gumbo that gave birth to Jazz and ultimately all other popular American musical forms. It's wonderful to hear you use the same terminology.

Ah... Good ole' slow blues. My favorite. I think this style of playing is more soulful and expressive than super fast, busy stuff. Thanks Adam!

    Hello,
I try in vain to decript what Adam is playing here. The first part is rather simple: he gives us the "tab" for the I chord himself:
    2D... 3D 4D 5B 5D 5B 4D 3D... repeat
but what happens after he lightly scratches his chin at the time mark 3:57 until 4:10, probably in the IV chord goes far beyond my humble means of decoding. I hear:
    1D 1D' 1B (4:00)
    2B 3B 3D' (4:05)
    3D 4B 3D&3D 2D (4:09)
Mainly the last line ending in the time mark of 4:09 gives me most of the headache.
Adam himself insists on other features of less importance for me at this point: yes, I can, I am at home in the I IV V sequence of a blues pattern, but it is of no use for me if I chase notes too shy for my ear to catch.
Wish I would know how the V chord is tabbed for this song.
Maybe someone can help. I grew up near a piano and can not play by ear: need some sheet music to rely upon, even if it is a scratch.
    Big thanks!
    Razvan

Good lesson there Adam. I could hear little bits of Front Porch Blues sneaking in there. I never did master that so maybe this will help me?

Some tabs would be nice and useful. ... I love what your playing but you don't mention what holes you are using /what are draw n blows. Makes it very frustrating for a beginner!
