Become and Avenger like Superhero with this card!! Ever wanted to become invisible? Now you can with this incredible Lubor's Lens optical illusion card! The Lubor's Lens is a magic science trick that just makes certain objects disappear!! It's truly amazing! I placed a pen on my hand not expecting anything to happen but then I placed the card over my hand and it amazingly made the pen disappear but I saw my hand!! I couldn't believe what I saw. I then had CJ try it and he took the Lubor's Lens in his hand and we did the same pen trick and it disappeared from his hand too!!
I tried making other objects disappear such as beads and putty and toy cars. We were able to get the putty to have the same disappearing effect my shaping the Crazy Aaron's putty into a pen. So we figured out that the shape of the object really affects the disappearing effect. Anyways, it was super cool and just so amazing to see. The effect looks like a change in focal length- from one orientation, to the other.
The card is changing the plane of focus like taking a pic of a metal fence then focusing past it the fence disappears and what is behind comes in view
The ridges would distort the light. As seeying is light waves reflecting of objects into our eyes. If the light waves can be distorted we can have something disapear from view. The bigger the object the more light there is to distort and thus there is less of a disapearing effect, light is interesting to start to play with, it shows both wave and partical behaviour.

Well the pen didn't disappear, it just stretched the reflected image, which is why there was a blackish shadow in the card. Also the pen is mostly hollow with a thin black tube inside of it. I also think its made of a material (or engineered in a way ) that minimizes darker materials.

I do linticlura prints' it's basicly a sheet of 3d paper like what you see on the Avengers 3 d dvd's same exact plastic cover to make the 3d effect. you want a bigger version just go to veuthru.com i think you can get bigger clear sheets of the exact same thing. I have some clear 3d sheets and i get the same effect.
