I was hesitant to watch this because I absolutely hate straight pipes but this sounds really good. I'm so glad y'all put an xpipe on it. I'm sure he noticed throttle response
I really wasnt a fan of the new Z at first. But the more I see it, the more I like it. This one really looks good and the new exhaust makes it perfect. Had that typical "Z" sound I've always liked! Great vid! 🍻

If that were my Z, I would actually keep it stock. With that said, this exhaust job doesn't sound bad at all! I like it.

2.25 inches is not good for performance, in basically any circumstance. Minimum should be 2.5" for N/A setups and 3" for turbo setups like this. I like that it's louder nonetheless.

Actually in a small displacement engine like the VR30 2.25-2.50 is perfect for the stock turbos.
The stock diameter of the exhaust is 1.75”. It’s honestly ridiculous how narrow thin the stock pipe is.
Noticed on my vg30 that when I went to 2.5 inner diameter piping shit sounded monstrous

Do resonated tips help with the drone.
Maybe very slightly. If you wanna get rid of drone, in almost any situation, you need either a resonator or a 12-18" double wall (thickness of the pipe) tips.

I'm right there with ya. The headlights don't have that "modern" car look to them, but Nissan did right by the lines on this car. I see a lot of the older Z, especially in the hood. And little touches of all the generations here and there. It's growing on me. I've owned a 92na, 93tt and an 04Z. Loved them all.
Some people like alien insect headlight some like them more simple.

Thats not a straight pipe as the car still has FOUR cats. 2 primaries and 2 secondaries (the ones that you showed in the video). Primary cats are way up there stuck to the turbos

Can’t wait to see what tuners can safely get out of these cars. Maybe I’ll consider getting rid of my Mustang. I also noticed no positive boost till after 5,000 rpm, these turbos come online pretty far up there.
