I grew my Meyers Lemon from a seed too. Mine is growing free. It is 1 1/2 years old now & almost 5 ft. tall. Anyone know how tall they get? Wondering if I should repot it or if I need to prune it...
Hello thanks for showing your lemons .But i need your help tell me i have lemon tree but its leave are curling up dong know what to do what can i spray on my plant .
My lemon tree seems to be blooming on multiple times a year basis. It was at first seasonal rate but the last 4 or 5 years it's been 2 or 3 bloomings yearly. And my other lemon tree was transplanted from a neighbor's yard, was about 3' (feet) tall, but now is over 5'6" and once in a while might blom but gaves no fruits yet. It was planted over 4 years ago now. Its leaves are light green to yellow at times throughout the year.
My lemon trees are about 10yrs old. 1st 4 years produced good crops. Then kinda went downhill, I got it going again and this year both trees had lots of flowers. I think it's a black and white flying beetle that feasted on the flowers. Any suggestions please.
I grew mine from seed. Now white flowers are appearing. I live in a tropical climate. How often to water when the flowers appear please? It is sunny in the day but cold at night.
I planted lemon seeds and now I have a lemon tree and I can say that it has been growing for about 9 months and I must say that I am in London and the weather is not very good and now that it is November I brought it to the room and I know that it needs a lot of sun which we don't have but Its leaves are falling and I don't know why? And one question, how much water does it need in winter? Thank you
In my opinion they are worth the trouble. When you want a new tree just grab one coming up from the root system. They are an exact reproduction and already accustom to your soil and conditions. No grafting, no cuttings, no hassle!
I am not expert in the area but not growing from seeds because it will take ages to fruit ,so it is advisable to do grafting method from a mature plant so that we can get fruits in a very short time. I hope I answered for those asking why not growing from seeds. It is not impossible but it is time consuming. Thank you
My Meyer lemon dropped all its leaves and all of its limbs died when I brought it inside. It’s still alive and has 2 leaves and one lemon. Any advice on encouraging growth?

It's summer right now where I am and I water my lemon plant once a day and its leaves are still withering what should I do? I keep it indoors near the window so it can still get the sunlight it needs.
Lemon trees are tropical plants, they require full sun and fresh air in the outdoors. However, if you are going to put it outside, be sure to slowly acclimatize it to the weather. Also, lemon trees, depending on their age, can withstand a "de-leafing". Meaning their leaves can fall off and they can grow new ones.
It’s normal for plants to wither a bit in the hot sun. If it perks back up at night, and after a watering, you’re fine. If it never perks back up, and continues to wither even more, you have a problem.
Other videos explained that the seeds of a lemon would produce a mutation of the original fruit. So you could wind up with a different variety of fruit. For example a lemon crossed with an orange. .. that's what i understand.
Loved your video. Just found you. I have subscribed. My lemon tree is named Edgar Allen Hoe. I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada. So super cold outside (days go from +21 one day to -2 the next so he is house bound from Sep/Oct to May/Jun where then he goes out on the deck. Right now he seems to be dropping leaves like crazy. Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you.
i am trying to care 3 different citrus at my balcony for 1,5 years or something but any of them has blossemed yet :( they seem healthy but there is no flower, actually i've bought them for their amazing flowers. what should i do sir?
you should do what they called roots trimming using a knife or sharp tools to cut some off the root they do that in my area for citrus to make them bloom
you have to graft another lemon tree on it which will take 2 years for fruits or wait for 4-5 years on this one for fruit. The Grafted one will have sure chances of Fruiting.
It takes about 10 years to bloom & produce fruit, if it ever does. And if it does, you probably won't get fruit the same as the parent tree. That's why they graft, for consistency.
Another one of those “you’ll get nothing if you grow it from a seed” people. I can no longer take you seriously. I’ve grown from seed and those trees produce fruit.
How long does it take to fruit if you grow seed. I grew mine with seed, been almost 3 years now. The plant is over a metre tall in a pot but no fruit. I'm concerned. Any advice?

Get a ripe apple and place it on the soil with your tree. Amd cover the apple with some plastic. Ripened apples let off an ethylene gas that will help encourage fruiting in the tree.
I have grown though lemon tree from lemon seeds .. not even flower I can see it’s almost 5 years I am staying in us but it’s moderate temperatures too much cold I keep it my house where sunlight comes..

Light green to yellow means a lack of nutricion
use hi nitrogen fertilizer or organic matter. iron deficiency may be a factor also.
It needs lots of sun and water plus a little of pine mulch.
If you grow lemons inside the home, will it attract bugs? Any indoor tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a lot it bugs in my lemon trees am I put soap all the time but they don't go what should I do please.
Dust it with seven dust or a permethrin containing powder such as chicken dust for chickens. About $8 for either. Home depot or tractor supply
Neem oil is what I use on my fruiting trees and bushes, and it works really well for me. It's fairly inexpensive, and pretty widely available.
Most lemons actually do come true from seed. Exceptions are usually hybrids such as the Meyer lemon.

Lemon trees from seed don't produce lemons?????
Then where the hell did the lemons on the tree come from???
Linda Barnett i was about to comment the same thing! Lol!!
yeah I was surprised too haha. But I think you need to graft a tree to produce fruit. Maybe that's what he meant :)
It takes 5 to 10 years for a seed to produce fruit...
The lemon will come but atleast after 5 years. And the grafted plants produce lemons really fast
I grew mine from seed it produced fruits in14months not years.
Why if you grow from seeds you wont get anything?
I grew mine by seed.
How is it going
You have to do grafting it to be able to get fruits.it grow but it will not donate you fruits without grafting

you over watering it. thats why its wither. water it once in a week in summer and once in a month in winter.
@@spring6600 absolutely correct.
Why not grow them from seed?
Fey because seeds dont give lemons, if you would plant it from a seed, it would take 10-15 years for a lemon to show up
Not true, I have lemon tree that I grew from seed and it's 2 years old and blooming
