- Опубликовано: 3 фев 2020
- Relief wood carving showing a largemouth bass about to strike a fishing lure near the rocky bottom! Traditional chisels and gouges were the primary tools used. A dremel was used for the final details. It was carved out of white pine and took me approximately 20 hours to complete. If you enjoyed the video make sure you like, subscribe, and share it! It really helps me out!

If you have any questions or comments let me know your thoughts below!
I have a question. How did you learn to carve? I started not too long ago and it's pretty difficult.
Honestly, I learned from trial and error. I never took classes or anything, I just tried it one day and kept practicing and learning. It's tough to find any sort of tutorials or carving classes without having to pay big money for them. I'll do tutorials and how to's on my channel if more people voice that they are interested in them.
Thank you! I guess I'll just dive into it as much as I can and take it from there. And I'll be looking out for your videos.
Cube Bano yeah just keep practicing and pushing your carving limits and trying new things.
👏👏👏
That's a very beautiful carving. The fact that you are talking throughout the video, explaining the process is a good idea, it makes it all the more enjoyable for the viewer.
Thank you! Appreciate the helpful advise as well. I'll keep doing that in my videos!
Very nice. I like it.
Thank you! 😊
Its beautiful! I thoroughly enjoyed watching it come alive! Please do more videos!
Thanks, that's great! More will definitely come.

You are the best carver I have seen. I know a lot of professional carvers and I am learning more from you than any of the others. thank you for being on the internet.
Thank you that means a lot!
Precioso. Gracias por compartir tus conocimientos con nosotros. ENHORABUENAAAA.
Thank you!
Spot on, looks fantastic thank for the video
thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing simply incredible carving
Thank you!
i liked the decision making about carving in the scales. That's a lot of fine work and so much opportunity to mess up. Great nerve and commitment.
Thank you. Yeah I definitely went back and forth on what to do but I'm happy I went with the scales. I'm happy with how it turned out.
Awesome work! I love it. I just completed an oakleaf & acorn undercut relief on seasoned spruce. I had never done something like this before and it took a long time to do. I learned so much. Dry brittle wood is not for the faint of heart when undercutting.
Tim Schunk thanks! Yeah I’ve never carved spruce wood before. You’re right brittle wood is definitely not kind to a carver lol.
Beautiful carving friend!!!!👍👏
thanks!
Genio, crack! 💯⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very nice 👍 for you ‼️ Class‼️‼️‼️🙏🤝👋
thanks
nice.
Thanks
Excellent job. I understand what you meant about the simplicity of the original, but all in all, fish do have scales so that added a more realistic element to your carving.
Thank you. Yeah I agree, I think carving the scales was the right decision.
Прекрасно!
Лайк из России
Thanks!
très beau

Beautiful job on the detail. Where do you get your wood from?
Thank you! I buy my wood from a local sawmill and I prep it for carving myself.
wow amazing work What kind of wood did you use? And where do you buy it?
hey thanks! this carving is pine wood and I bought it from a local sawmill near me.
Love it!
Have ever used any of the schaaf tools?
Thanks! No I haven't yet.
@@ChiseledOutdoorsCC joe at the carving store seems to like them.
@@tombryan720 Yeah he does, I watch a lot of his videos. I’ll have to try them. I bought pfeil right away and never thought of trying something else, so maybe I’ll have to give schaaf a try.
@@ChiseledOutdoorsCC pfeil is probably the best out there I've heard.
Thanks for the response and great inspiration
Отличная работа, какое дерево вы использовали, кедр?
Thanks. It's white pine.
Очень красиво, мастер!
New to relief carving, very helpful teacher. I want to subscribe , button not available
Thanks for watching, I'm glad they help! The subscribe button should be right below the video near the bottom right corner.
Very inspiring , wondering if you have a FB page ?
Hey, I don't have a Facebook page. I have an Instagram page that I post a lot of progress pictures too as well as an Etsy account where I post them for sale.
How thick is your wood and where do you get it all I can find is pine and it splinters
The wood blanks I use are 2" thick no gluing involved. You can buy my blanks on my Etsy page. I'm low in inventory right now, but I just bought some new lumber so I'll be getting more inventory soon.
What size gouge is the large one you used in this carving?
It's a #9 25mm
Чё-то ты, батенька с головой перемудрил: снизу идёт жабра и опять чешуя. На голове чешуи не бывает - сходи на рыбалку. Сам увидишь. А так вообще молодец! Лайк однозначно.
How much would it cost? If you're selling this. It's really nice.
Thanks! I think I sold it for $300.
What kind of wood are you using?
White pine
what wood
White pine
who is this from wood
Not sure I understand your comment.
I made a home made remote control car I did not even buy it
Beautiful
Thanks!
