This fox, we call Red. I just came home from work one day and she was sleeping in the garden. When we went out to see her, thinking her injured; she didn't run away. She hung around not far from us. We gave her a few eggs, as we don't have much ourselves. I had to get back to work, so i left my partner in the garden with her. After I left she went up to my lady and sniffed her legs before going to the step at the back door and laying down and sleeping there, effectively blocking the route back to the house. Since then she's come every day, often multiple times. She gets a chicken wing, an egg. She'll hang about, snooze on the lawn, i think she feels safe with us about. She will enter the house and come to the living room, catch our attention and then go back outside and wait for a wing. We have not taught her or coaxed her into this, she was doing it from day 1. Its a risky thing for a fox to do, as cute as it is, its not good but if she's doing it on her own then i'm not going to chase her off to do "the right thing". We have maybe a half dozen foxes using our garden, none of them behave this way.

Beautiful animals. So lovely you have red and looking after her and letting other foxes share your garden. A blessing to see them🦊💚

Thank you. Beautiful subject made it easy for me. She was like this from the first meeting, too close really. She wasnt coaxed to do any of the things she did over time. She was familiar from day 1. We were enchanted.

Looks like maybe a mange treatment needed

We thought that too but it could be molting, many foxes look this way. Sadly we havent seen her for weeks so dont know. Theres a fox in my "Night Garden" video called Teddy who is suffering with mange. Got him feeding here regularly and am staying up tonight to give him his medication when he arrives.

@@michaelaustin334 Thanks, Yeah me too, we've been really missing her; heartbroken. We got a lot of animals here but she's the only one that would hang out with us AFTER EATING. Problem in the UK is that mange meds can only be given by a vet. They're supposed to test the animal and then administer the medication. Not easy with a wild animal. Some animal welfare charities can obtain the medication and supply if it is pretty certainly mange, but only to someone who is sure that only the targeted animal will eat it. It can cause damage to pregnant or weaning animals/their young. Also could mess up a cats liver. Hence why i gotta stay up all night watching my trail cam and waiting for Teddy! There's holistic medicines and herbal concoctions but proper medications are best. Thanks for watching my video and commenting.
