Hey Rick - Just starting the video, can you tell me why your indexing on the change key line instead of the main index line? If your putting in your own pointer why not at the index line? Thx. Now that I think about it, I guess it does not really matter where you index from.

This dial on this safe is blank between 100 and 20. So when checking for contact points I have to use the change index. The dial ring on this was also a bit tarnished so the change index was a bit hard ro see so I used my own red pointer.

Rick, the dials that don’t have numbers between 100 (0) and 20. Are they not there because that is the forbidden zone?

Yes, it's the old way they used to do forbidden zones.

It takes me an average of 30 - 45 minutes. But some days it's hours. When you are practicing at home you got to be comfortable with the lock that works properly I'm always called out the situations where the dial is sticky and it hasn't been turned in 30 years and I'm cramped in a tight space on the floor
