I was literally just thinking the same thing! I would hope that there's a box that pops up saying "you selected no, are you sure," just to confirm your response because selecting the wrong answer would be unbelievably disappointing
It's great you picked a place that matches with your style of learning. I wish more people would consider that when choosing a school. It's also great to try something new. Best of luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!! Enjoy your summer!
please do a video about your stats and essays and your application!! i think it would really be helpful to all of us especially people like me who are majority applying to UCs. thank you!!!! Just subscribed, I like your videos!!
OH YAAAY My uncle is a professor at Dartmouth he’s great the library is freaking amazing and the campus is gorgeous Edit: the thing about something always happening on campus is so true as well has great cultures there too lots of Greeks
Congratulations on your college decision! Dartmouth was one of my top choices as well and I am glad that you get to experience the world class education they offer. Best of luck!
I was a graduate student instructor (like a TA) for a few years at UC Berkeley. I co-taught a large undergraduate class of 200+ students. Sometimes I felt bad for the undergrads because it seemed so easy for some of them to get lost in the mix on campus, especially if they were a bit shy by nature. Students on a large campus like Berkeley's have the potential to access lots of different classes and professors, but establishing regular one-on-one interactions with professors or academic support staff can be difficult for students who are not used to having to initiate all of those meetings. These were my observations, anyway. I'm glad I ended up there for graduate school when I had more academic experience under my belt and felt comfortable being out on my own in the world. Also, just thinking about what undergrads have to do to secure affordable housing in Berkeley these days gets me stressed out! Don't get me wrong, I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to study at Berkeley, but I'm glad I ended up there at a time in my life when it was a better fit for me. I don't think I would have done as well if I had been an undergrad there. I hope you love your time at Dartmouth!
Dartmouth is an excellent choice. It's a fabulous school and the quality of life there is super. Plus, you have tons of social events with other schools in the New England area.
Unless you want to be a research physician, Dartmouth is a waste of money. Any physician graduating from a state college will make a ton of money. The same amount as someone graduating from a private medical college or highly ranked medical school. You won't believe me but NO ONE (employer of physicians) cares about where you went to college but those student loans are REAL. Same with Medical school. No one will care where you attend medical school. Of course it will have to be in the U.S., but even then, it doesn't matter that much. Your specialty matters. If you attend Harvard Med and become an internist, you'll likely make what any average internist makes. Not a lot.
I think she just explained why she wants to go to Dartmouth. Dartmouth has an excellent pre-med and med programs. And it doesn't matter what job she lands on or how big the salary is... she's just after college experience and preparedness. It's not a waste of money anyway since she got a significant chunk of Financial Aid from Dartmouth.
That’s 100% false, actually. Better undergraduate college has been proven to lead to better medical schools, which has been proven to lead to better residencies, which has been proven to lead to better salaries as an actual doctor and surgeon. Do your research.
It's a no-brainer actually, most Ivy League or top medical school graduates are currently working or having their residencies in the country's top hospitals (e.g. Mayo Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, Vanderbilt medical center, Emory medical center, Duke med, NY Presbyterian, etc.). Those who are entering pre-med programs in Ivy Leagues or universities with great pre-med programs are more prepared and has more chance to get higher scores in MCAT and admissions to Ivy League med schools due to their advanced knowledge of Ivy League protocol.
@@ajc8815 The conversation is about salaries and what employers look at. You're talking about getting into an Ivy League. Of course you're right, whenever the insurance company reimburses a physician, they first check to see if they went to an Ivy League. NOT.
“Dartmouth. That’s lovely. What flavor cake is that?” DEAD

where's this "proof" you speak of
