You have just demonstrated the effectiveness of spaced armor. Spaced armor is used by tanks, armored fighting vehicles and the space station. The ISS uses spaced armor for protection from very high velocity materials that can sometimes hit satellites and space craft. Spaced armor is a very effective type of armor that can be very light but may take up a lot of space. The first layer of material help to break up high velocity material which is then stopped bu the second layer. This is also used in the M-1 Abrams tank and is one reason why the tank looks so large. The turret has empty spaces within the tanks armor. Particles of material found in space can go much faster than a very high velocity 223 or 300BO. To penetrate 2 cement pavers you may need a very hard material that would not break up. The Abrams also uses very dense depleted Uranium for both armor and APFSDS anti tank ammunition. Uranium has some other natural features that makes it very suitable for penetrating armor. The depleted Uranium has very low levels of radiation. But it is a toxic heavy metal. So you should not use DU ammunition without a mask and other forms of protection. It could leave toxic residue in the area. Just as a number of soldiers have developed problems from lead exposure due to heavy training indoors with ammunition containing lead. When used very small particles of lead can be breathed in. So do not use DU ammo please. But it may be one possibility to overcome spaced armor. And shows how effective spaced armor can be. It is also useful against other forms of armor piercing weapons. Including HEAT and HESH. Spaced armor can block destructive shock waves. HEAT uses a shaped explosive charge to form a very hot and very fast piece of metal that can burn through significant amounts of steel. And is commonly used in missiles including Bazookas and RPGs. The results you showed are normal. Thanks for your videos. I am a very big fan of 300BO. It is rarely seen in Australia.

Yep, that was a great demo. I think anyone would have picked the 300 blackout, but look at the clean hole the 223 made? The person standing behind a 2” concrete block wall would be in a world o’ hurt with either weapon. How about a 675 grain nosler projectile in 45-70 fired by a single shot Henry? Come on, let’s get nuts! How about creating some wildcats, baby! BTW, this is one of the few channels where the content of the video is louder than the musical intro: I like it that way. No hype, no flash (except muzzle flash), heavy on the content. Great video, keep them coming.

I would take 300BO over 223 almost every time. I believe in a heavier projectile. There are two ways to go small and fast or big and slower. I use my guns for hunting. Bigger and slower are more effective for me. If you are into tactical small and fast might be a better choice.

But 4000 fps with that bullet, against a bear isn't going to go so well. Size, density or type of bullet, and velocity all come into play. The tests you do WHO_TEE_WHO show this 90% of the time. Keep up the good work my friend.
