- Hello friends, Cockatiel will start eating and cracking at the age of around 1 month.They will strong enough to start coming out of the nest and explore food themselves.At this age babies need to remove from nest box and rest their #Cockatiel parents because parents will feed them less and the babies will began to eat on their own.
This is a good time for taming your #birds.Feed them more often from hands.

What do I do if my 1 month old cockatiels mother had more eggs and won’t feed her
my baby cockatiel who is now about 5-6 weeks old, is making a v little chick sound after I fed today. is it that I overfed or something else.

What do I do, my bird just turned 1 month and I put him in his weaning cage but the parents aren’t here because I got him off a breeder and have been hand feeding him. But now since he is 1 month I tried giving him seeds but we refuses to eat them or drink water. He only wants me to hand feed and I am not free all day to hand feed. Please answer and give recommendations
I also tried feeding him lettuce but he just pooped on it
How did it go i hope he started eating on his own i am in the same boat i got 2 babies that i incubated one started eating and i only feed him at night the other one is crazy he keeps screaming non stop even after just feeding him i am kind of lost 😞

Hey how are you? I found your channel intresting and quite informative. I have a Lutino Cockatiel since 3 months. I bought him when he was 2 months. He was timmed and very weak tried to give him healthy diet but he ate once then later never touched. And it's very hard to tame him. He scared of everything too or new person specially with kids. I am following Bird tricks also but still not a single clue how to train him he's very clingy also.

you need to spend time with him n try to feed him by your hand. It will take time to trust you and feed from your hand, but you should try on a daily basis..
My female bird is not tamed bz I didn't give her time, but others are very well tamed
I spend my time in the same room and do my work near the cage.. Birds need time and attention
Yes I have done everything you said. He do eats well when we feed him with our hands but he I think has separation anxiety he doesn't want to leave me. He flies to me whenever he sees me and if I leave him in his cage or room he flock calls loudly. He's single still so planning to get him partner. And we don't get spray millets here in India to train birds so tried with sunflower seeds but he's not willing to be trained. I am able to train him recall flight just lil bit.
Yes, you are doing everything well. he is too small to learn many things but soon he will be fine. My birds take a year to develop trust in me.

I tamed my birds, but Rio, who is female, is not that much tamed bcz I didn't give her time because of my busy routine, but all of 3 are good tamed
