Raquel's granola recipe:
6 cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup chopped pecans. I like to caramelize them beforehand. (To caramelize add 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 Tablespoon butter, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, dash of salt. Heat on a skillet on med heat. Stir constantly for about 15 g , until nuts are evenly coated in melted sugar/butter. Let cool before adding to granola.)
1.5 cups shredded coconut
3/4 cup + 2 Tablespoons of melted butter
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon (heaping)
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup ground flax seed (optional)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients. Mix WELL.
Pour granola onto two cookie sheets, both lined with parchment paper. Spread evenly.
I do not stack the cookie sheets in the oven, I bake individually. ESP important when baking a double batch. Bake for 50 min to an hour or until golden brown. Do not stir while baking. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Keep in an airtight container to store.

This reminds me of when I had only 1 child to care for. It's been awhile! Winter activities for toddlers include playdough, washable markers and paper, and for little girls, a doll house and an assortment of figurines and furniture. They can occupy for quite a while with those!

ABOUT the dishwasher! Oh yes. Talk about frustrating. My kids dump something dirty in the clean dishwasher. 😢 With 8 people in our house it happened often until I trained everyone that once the dishwasher was unloaded and empty they/I would.add a dish tab. So everyone could see with one glance, if the soap thingy is shut then it's dirty! 👏

Thank you! It was homemade. I don’t have a recipe, but it’s basically finely cut cabbage and carrots, milk, a little bit of vinegar, salt, and pepper, mayo, and a bit of sugar.

Oh shoot. I didn’t know it wasn’t safe for pregancy. Pretty sure I cleared it with my obgyn. Might depend on the person. I use it for pain/inflammation.
