I still have mine from HD in 2014 and a replacement that they sent me as a back up. Love it!

I am amazed that mine is still running.
This lawnmower is one purchase I do not regret.
Thanks for checking out the video.

Exact same mower and same age. I replaced the blade and put a new handle clip on it. The compression spring fell off on the handle angle lever but mine, too, has been flawless. Still using the same battery and I have a handful of Ego tools. It’s been so good I just bought a new Select Cut XP. I will sell my original to a lucky owner. Best outdoor equipment I’ve ever owned. Still using the original string trimmer and blower, too.

I am right there with you. Ego has worked out for me thus far.
I don't know when I will replace my old lawnmower as of yet.
Thanks for checking out the video.

This is my second year with my EGO 2156 ,so it’s good to hear from long term owners. When I decided to take care of my own lawn I went all EGO equipment for the same reasons.

I'm at ten years as well with my LM2000 and the original battery just died this morning. Since the mower is discontinued, I'd like to know the best choice for replacement batteries so I can continue using it. The mower is fantastic in terms of what it was designed to do. It's quiet, mows nicely and the headlights are a nice bonus. I just need a battery or better yet two of them so I can continue to use it.

That was a nice run. I personally have purchased a couple of the 4 amp hour batteries because the larger capacity batteries seem to always be out of stock at my local Lowes. That being said as you climb the amp hour ladder you get closer to the purchase of a brand new mower. It can be hard to justify purchasing a larger battery as opposed to just purchasing a new mower. I tried to upgrade to a newer mower but the self propel function quit after about a week of ownership. If you want to keep cost down you could go with the 4 amp hour however if your yard is on the larger side then you may not be happy with the battery runtime offered by a smaller battery.
