    Funny how many people hash up the letters and call this machine 'CSX' in stead of 'CXS'. At least that's what I noticed on videos from the US. I wonder if there is a product name close to this that causes that?

      Yeah, some people are more sensitive to details like that. It's a good thing that it is not a prerequisite for being able to purchase, own, and use the tool right. LOL Thanks for checking out the video.

    Some say it's kind of loose and not that accurate. What do you think about that? Maybe the old 90° rail square is better for accurate square cuts?

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace 3 дня назад

      So far mine has been fine that being said adjustability can lead to inaccuracies over time. If I had to choose I would stick with the simple 90 degree. Simplicity is best in my opinion.

    • @BetonBenni
      @BetonBenni 3 дня назад

      @@daddysharespacethank you. Thing is that the adjustable rail square is also sitting on top of the meterial you're cutting which seems to make it more stable to work with. Am I wrong?

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace 2 дня назад

      You are right you do have extra stability with the FSWA resting on top of your work piece. That being said the 90 degree square is light enough so it has not been an issue for me.

    Who cares about drag, it's all about the finish. That's the only reason you should be considering a rip blade. All I wanted to know was did it give you a nice enough surface to go straight to glue up. Sorry top sound harsh but ...

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace 6 дней назад

      I don’t consider that harsh. lol. You make a good point. I have yet to glue the pieces up so possibly I can circle back with an update on that point if I remember and have time. What I can say is that I have relatively new blades. I have not noticed any aggressive blade makes or burning thus far that has jumped out at me. That seems to be a good start. 👍🏾

    I guess it really comes down to how much you use it. The bags are roughly $12 a pop. I might use a bag a month. So it would take me 2.5 - three years to spend as much on bags as it would to get the cyclone.

    I’m on my 3rd new saw , I’m done with Milwaukee. I swapped out all tools from dewalt after 15yrs with really no problems. Obviously tools aren’t 15 years old just been using dewalt that long . I purchased just under 20k in new Milwaukee tools and have had nothing but problems. Several of the other trades complaining about poor quality also . Slowly switching back to dewalt as the Milwaukee tools die off

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace 14 дней назад

      I understand where you are coming from. I would not purchase another 12-inch Milwaukee miter saw. That being said I have not had any problems with my impact wrenches and ratchets to date. I use them regularly for auto repairs. Dewalt does not offer the same range of tools for auto repair. It seems that all the brands have their own strengths and weaknesses.

      I am not brand loyal when it comes to vehicles. For me the facts are I purchased this vehicle with around 160 to 180,000 miles on it for $5500.00 over 10 years ago.I am over 260,000 miles currently. I change the oil, spark plugs and brakes. It just passed smog in CA 2025. As a rule, vehicles are depreciating assets. I would love to have a nice, new, visually appealing vehicle. My vehicle gets me to work and to the grocery store. Besides that it does not make me any money.

    (Previous comment disappeared after posting - tried reposting twice, just posting a short summary): I suggest creating several straight push sticks from a 3/4"x 2" x 14" board with a notch cut in one end. There are various examples on the internet. I suggest to use those when ripping boards narrower than 4" to push the end of the board past the saw blade.

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace 20 дней назад

      I will make some.

    • @TheProfiledCorner
      @TheProfiledCorner 20 дней назад

      Great - that will give you a chance to use your bandsaw to build a few very useful shop assistants. From what I heard, the commercial push sticks made from plastic may shatter if they come in contact with the blade, so wood push sticks are better than plastic.

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace 19 дней назад

      Good to know. That actually makes a lot of sense.

  • @TheProfiledCorner
    @TheProfiledCorner 20 дней назад

    (Previous comment disappeared after posting - posting the original comment in multiple comments - second reattempt.) You might want to make a couple of simple push sticks to use at the table saws, such as the design at woodgears pushsticks web page (link removed) - that (straight, roughly 14" long) design is similar to what I use, but mine are based on the style of push sticks that were used in my high school shop classes many years ago. As a rule of thumb, I try to keep my fingers at least four inches from any spinning blade, so I will use a push stick when ripping boards to a width smaller than about four inches. I also found a good, but expensive, third-party blade guard that is easy to install and take off of the Unisaws - I have never had an accident at a table saw, but even a moment of lost concentration at a table saw could lead to an emergency room visit.

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace 19 дней назад

      That is a good rule to have. I admit I need to be more diligent about table saw safety. I also want to get some feather boards to help with getting more consistent results.

  • @TheProfiledCorner
    @TheProfiledCorner 20 дней назад

    (Previous comment disappeared after posting - posting the original comment in multiple comments.) I normally use a 40 tooth Forrest Woodworker II blade in my primary saw, which does a nice job at crosscutting and ripping most boards. For ripping thicker boards, I will mount a 24 tooth Ridge Carbide rip style (flat tooth) blade in the saw to reduce cutting effort. I could not determine what type of blades you have in your saws, but those battery-operated saws might benefit from using a 20 to 24 tooth narrow (3/32" wide) blade when ripping those 2x4s.

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace 19 дней назад

      I was using a 24 tooth blade in both saws in the video.

  • @TheProfiledCorner
    @TheProfiledCorner 20 дней назад

    (Previous comment disappeared after posting - posting the original comment in multiple comments.) I like the idea of having multiple table saws set up. I also take advantage of multiple table saws, although mine are plugged into 240 volt outlets. I use one of my Unisaws with a dado blade and the other for crosscuts and rip cuts. I have a 40 tooth rip style (flat tooth) blade mounted in a third table saw that I use for cutting narrow flat bottom grooves when I do not feel like setting up a dado stack for a specific cut.

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace 19 дней назад

      In the future I hope to try out a proper cabinet saw. For now I use the Milwaukee for dado cuts.

    Do you ever sell your ‘unwanted’ or duplicate tools as you acquire more…either for space needs or for income to purchase what you decide you really want? I have a hard time doing that. It’s almost like a library of myself. I have given away tools to younger family members who are starting out in the craft and in spite of that good feeling, I have to admit there is a part of myself that regrets it, only from the standpoint that they represent my beginnings. Maybe that is a weird way to look at it or odd to get attached to tools.

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace 20 дней назад

      I understand how you feel. I gave away my old, corded Ryobi table saw to a coworker. I offered him both the table saw, and the 12-inch miter saw for free. The guy got selective and said he was not interested in the miter saw. I ended up giving it to the Goodwill. I do not miss either tool, but I will not be offering tools to selective people for free in the future. And I never felt good about Goodwill making money off of my miter saw. With all that being said it can be quite the challenge selling Ryobi tools as they do not have much resell value. For the time being I am keeping my tools until I come up with a better alternative.

    It sounds like the both table saws are struggling to cut a simple 2x4... this is why I would never purchase a cordless table saw. Here's a helpful hint, setup your table saw to cut one side of the 2x4 and cut all the wood needed, then adjust the fence to cut the second side, and then re-cut the same wood... this should do the same thing as using two table saws.

    • @daddysharespace

      I started with Ryobi tools. Before I increased my investment, I wanted to see if my interest in DIY/ Woodworking would persist. As my interest grew, I considered selling my Ryobi tools. I have been a registered nurse since December of 2001. That is how I make my living. Between my faith, wife, children, and day job, I have spent zero time cultivating personal relationships in my day-to-day life. When I owned a Ryobi table saw and a 12-inch miter saw, I offered to give them to a coworker to clear space. I was a bit taken aback when the guy got selective and only opted to take the table saw. In keeping with my word, I gave him the table saw free of charge. I donated the miter saw to Goodwill. I never felt good about giving something to a business that profited from my hard-earned money. I also learned that it is not only difficult to sell used Ryobi tools it can also be challenging to even give them away for free. So that being said since I have not been working on cultivating personal relationships because I have been too busy and the only option is to make some business money I decide to go with option c which is to hold on to the tools until I feel it is time to let them go.

    At 09:00 mark. The lower end dashboard table is lower end? Are you suggesting that the dashboard shortcut is lower end to its larger sibling or to the other two tables? The shortcut is simply shorter than it’s longer sibling, but in no way lower end to it. And it’s certainly not lower end to the Festool or bench dog. What were you trying to say? I’ll agree that the dashboard products are more expensive than the other two… superior products often times are.

      By lower end I was not suggesting lower quality. The all in table is the 1699.00 model in my opinion. If you don't have the money for the larger table maybe you might settle for the smaller option due to price. That is not an indication of quality in my honest opinion. Sure it may not be the best usage of the English language to say lower end but not everyone requires exact statements to deduce the meaning of what is said. Again feel free to find a creator that better suits your expectations.

    You don’t own all three… but you’re going to talk about (compare) them anyway? I only made it to the part of the video where you said the dashboard does not fold up into itself. I purchased a dashboard shortcut nearly 3 years ago and it does indeed fold up into itself, not sure how you could’ve missed that. In fact, it says it right on their website “No assembly required” It also retails for $1099, not $1199. Also includes free-shipping. Did you visit the website?

      ruclips.net/video/YSacsC2QBow/видео.html Admittedly, I did not know that the shortcut had an update. The update came in 2022. facebook.com/dashboardpws/videos/its-the-new-shortcut%EF%B8%8Fbench-from-dash-board%EF%B8%8F-portable-workshop-half-as-long-but-e/4959411934147482/ You can find the video on Facebook if you are interested. This video clearly shows that the original shortcut did not integrate both sets of legs. The detached leg was a deal breaker for me, so I never looked into it again. July 24th, 2024, price proof. web.archive.org/web/20240724111941/www.dashboardpws.com/products/portable-workbenches Prices change, but the proof can be found on web.archive.org/ You should try it sometime before you think you know what you are talking about. Feel free to find another creator to serve your needs. Thanks

    appreciate the video, i was about to sell them on ebay which is where i found them for 299.99 ,but i found that i was able to put and watch full movies in full color, as well as certain APK’s will work as side loaded, but it is a limited capability and availability… but answering calls, watching movies and notifications gave me the push to keep and i wear regularly mostly the movie and downloaded YTvideos to a 32 gb max sd card but i have like 5-6 filled with my fav videos & movies… like i watched honest thief for the last hour and a half before i got home just moving around the city.. so it can be used in a certain way….

    If you do need to upgrade, I have the Kobalt Quiet Tech 26 gallon, which is just Kobalt's version of the larger compressor you showed. I use it primarily for auto detailing and I have been extremely happy with it.

    I'm glad to see you're figuring out how to dial in that dowel maker. I saw your first video yesterday & laughed my butt off. I've been thinking of getting that Veritas for a while now. It's just ridiculous how much the Stanley 77 costs on the used market.
