It’s always interesting to see everyone’s prospective. Dan C says don’t use butter with oil only oil with balm and don’t use a boars brush on long beards. It just goes to show that you need to try what works best for you. Looks good brother!
Yeah man, I'm pretty sure Dan didn't or doesn't say that. In fact, Dan isn't prescriptive at all. Just informative, then it's up to you. I have to say though that I could understand not using brushes of any kind on longer beards. It depends on your beard.
great video man. do you use beard oil every day? i find that when i use it daily my beard actually somehow gets more itchy! curious if you’ve experienced that too. btw your voice sounds exactly like robin pecknold from fleet foxes haha
I do use beard oil daily. Minimal use of oils is beneficial rather than too much. A good oil goes a long way on less. My overall brand for all products is The Beard Baron. I have used other brands that, although I loved supporting them, the oil just didn't do the same thing and my skin dried out under the beard.
@michaelcooke8665 I trim the sides on the top and fade into the sideburns so it's more boxed from the top, and narrow in profile. Is that what you're asking?
If their page doesn't load, I would try clearing your cache and trying again. It's a very small business so their site doesn't have a shop but you can email them at either info@blythespirits.com or donna@blythespirits.com If they don't have stock, my preferred alternative is oil from The Beard Baron. Blythe Spirits happened to have a scent that matched my other products better at that time.
My skin gets dry (flakey and itchy) if I dont wash daily and my beard is about half the size of yours. Do you have any recommendations for stopping the pain? Does/did your beard ever have this issue?
I would recommend making small adjustments and see what works. Everyone's beard and skin is different. I typically only use the wash 2-3 times a week because it will strip the oils from the beard and this causes my skin underneath the beard to become dry. Just had this while the new beard is coming in and getting back on an oil routine and massaging it into my skin seems to have resolved this. I have definitely used oils that don't work well with my skin so maybe try switching it up. Another consideration would be to focus on skin health. Making sure you get a little sunlight each day, as well as Vitamin A + C, protein, and smart fats from things like fish and nuts. (I snack on brazil nuts and almonds a lot.)
In the past, I've used a blow-dryer as part of the routine, but I've had mixed results. It really depends on the individual and their beard hair though.
Beard looks amazing man!
What's up Dan?

@michaelcooke8665 I trim the sides on the top and fade into the sideburns so it's more boxed from the top, and narrow in profile. Is that what you're asking?
@@sheppy5824 yep plus how would I go about growing as long as yours?

Oils and barms to moisturize bread and skin sorry for the comment if you already do this
How long has it taken u to get it this long
I think that was about the 2.5 year mark.
How many years bro u took to grow this length
This was about 2 - 2.5 years.
Wow look at the length and thickness, lovely 🤟
If you don't cut your beard, that become more awesome.
Do you ever use heat?
In the past, I've used a blow-dryer as part of the routine, but I've had mixed results. It really depends on the individual and their beard hair though.
Mi love lindo
Good video - but the music isn’t needed.
So much for a "daily" routine...
That's a hung beard
