- Yin Yoga for beginners - In this style of practice, we'll be working with the interconnective tissue and the ligaments that surround your joints -- all areas that are not normally nourished in more active styles of exercise. This 30-minute full class stretch is the perfect complement to cardio, weight lifting, or HIIT workouts. Do it once or twice a week and watch your flexibility increase. Yin is the ultimate style of yoga for cross-training or to replenish the body and mind after stress or an injury. Dim the lights and get ready to relax, stretch and breath deeply.

I have to admit, this was a bit of a challenge for me. It was hard for me to stay still so I really had to focus on my breathing and zone in with each pose. It was a wonderful stretch and I definitely need this a couple of times a week. Thank you so much for this video!! Can’t wait to try the next style! xoxo
Remarkable how Yin softens the mind and the body,
Thank you. I enjoyed the class. Being with the sensations as they arise in the poses and relaxing into them is challenging but I found being in them and staying with the breath and not getting caught in the story, offered a nice release. Feeling more relaxed.
All I can say is WOW! This not only made me want to go to sleep after I finished this it also strangely opened my sinuses. Weird but great. It was a challenge for me but I really love it. I had done some other yin practices with you but this one seemed much more intense. I guess Dragon is more challenging for me than pigeon. Thank you Brett for all of your awesome classes! Namaste!

I am travelling and can't access my usual exercise routine. Your guidance through this channel has paced me over the past week to keep myself and my body in peace though in the midst of busy work schedule. Lots of love deeply felt. Namaste.
This is a challenging style. Challenged and all, I really enjoyed it!
With knee issues, some of these poses are not ideal but can be adjusted for the most part.
It does feel like it put me in the right mental space for meditation afterwards; furthermore, the session itself feels almost like meditation having to focus on the breath, being in the moment, and feeling everything that's going. Great guide, thank you!

I love this style of yoga, it's good for me to focus and slow down.
I am new to yoga but interested in learning more. I wanted to try yin yoga as I am pretty out of shape and I wanted something more relaxing and calming than some of the other yoga styles I have seen. Thank you for this video. I tried it for the first time today and it was just what I needed. Some of the poses were very difficult but I will keep trying until I get them.

I found the Yin style of yoga really challenging. It was a much needed stretch, and I did enjoy it, but it was not easy. However, it was truly beneficial and I will continue to keep it as a part of my practice. I do feel better mentally, emotionally and physically. Thank you, Brett, your classes never disappoint!
Yin can be hard for folks at first!! With time you begin to feel it's benefits though and you grow to live it!!

Hi good morning every beatiful yogis!!
In my morrnigs, I use to work with some intense yoga routines, (vinyasa, power) to elevate my heart and start the day burning some calories and focused to fight the day. But today has been totally different, and I didn't know how much I needed to stop a few minutes and meditate into the asana, not only in my daily practice, but in my live and myself. I use to work with yin routines to strech and restore, but today, once again, Brett gives me another vision how wonderful and healing yoga can be. I falling in love with every style, class by class. I have found as I get older (49 now), I have to space out active Vinyasa yoga with more Yin or restorative yoga. My muscles get sore quickly and take longer to heal. Yin is perfect to get in my daily yoga practice, yet not tax my body more than it's willing to be taxed

I love this yoga! I have been trying to like yoga for the past 10 years, but failed. I've tried hatha, vinyasa, practiced bikram for almost a year. I have felt the need to wind down and stretch, especially from cardio and weights 3-4x a week. I started meditating recently and this style of yoga fits so perfectly with it :) I'm so happy I found it!!! THANK YOU.

I've been doing your intro Hafta practice nightly for about two weeks now but switched it up tonight and WOW what a difference. Both give a nice stretch in my right hips but with this practice I feel so much energy and flow in my sacral and root chakras!!! Namaste

I love Yin yoga as it's so slow and calming. It relaxes me tremendously. In fact, the very first yoga session I did was Yin yoga! It started me on my yoga journey. I'm a total beginner as I am just into my 6th session of hartha yoga as it's the only kind offered near my home. Love your soothing voice and the beautiful background music. I found this challenging but in a good way. It brought up a lot of uncomfortable memories and feelings and really stretched my body out. I feel more like myself, but also it feels hard to be myself.

I am a beginner. I started Yoga 43 days ago, you're one of my favorite instructors. Yin yoga is my preferred style when I wake up with racing thoughts or having an anxiety attack because I can be present with the stretch and tune in the non physical part of yoga while in a time lengthened pose
