Back in 1989 I worked on a Dairy Farm for part of a winter up into spring and the Farmer had me spreading liquid manure on his fields. There was an old John Deere tractor that hooked to the pump from the Poop Pond as we called it. I also know how I smelled after doing that for 8 or and I was driving a big White 4-270 and pulling what I believe was around 8 or 10 thousand gallon tank. I know I was glad I was in front of that thing when I engaged the PTO. I also know how I smelled after doing that all day. I had AC and stereo which I was easy work compared to this Amish Farmer.
Great video, thank you for posting 😊
Except for the equines this is as modern as it gets - or rather because of them! Excellent combination of machine and draft animals. The odor probably isn't so excellent. Must have been a wind-still day, I hope.
The smell only lingers until it dries. 🙂
This is excellent work. No wonder your crops produce high yields.
The use of artifical fertilizers destroy soil fertility over time as does GMO corn and the use of herbecides.
Do u keep your own corn seed for planting the following season? If so how do u protect it from insects?
That poopy opossum at the end lol
I sure am glad smell-o-vision isn't a thing yet.
We came back from dinner tonight and the custom manure haulers had spread across the road. The whole house smelled inside. At least after an hour or so our noses became numb to it! I wouldn’t live anywhere else though
