I designated three places to keep three new pairs. I warned them that if those pairs went missing, I would buy one more pair and hide it from them forever. It worked. I still have all three 20 years later.

When I was teaching, I was always astonished when kids would lose coats and water bottles and so forth. I had one of everything as a kid and I would have had to find it if I lost it. I love your videos.
I teach high school, and I've had so many things left behind in my classroom. I used to stick them in my own personal lost and found because our school didn't have one. The long resident last year was a jean jacket. The owner was never found. This year, I've found a blanket, a stress ball, a hoodie, and a million water bottles. All went to the receptionist. More recently, someone left her purse in one of her classes, and her friend, fortunately, is the one who found it. I even had a kid leave her PHONE in my class!
It's our three granddaughters. We spend lots of time with them because we are a competive tennis playing family. The socks, the charging cords, and water bottles... Absolutely spot on, Kim.
I spend all day either looking for my tea or my sunglasses. While my kids have stuck stuff in weird places, I just seem to set things down wherever I stop. 😁 Watching the Iaundry bit about the socks (TRUTH!) I realized you need to do a video on just laundry. Like, why bother to unroll your socks before washing? Why are you washing clothes I just folded & put in your room 4 days ago, they're still folded IN the hamper? You get my drift...
This is definitely my family, husband included, but add their panicked expectation for me to find their lost crap at the last possible minute before having to be somewhere. Good times!
I can't find my tablet that had been on my desk for months but I decided to put it somewhere "safe" ... oh yeah and when we moved to IL from FL I took all the picture hangers off of the wall and put them in a baggie so I'd have them handy to put the pictures up in the new house. I found them 3 years later in an ottoman that we use for the dogs to get on and off the bed.
Ahhhhh! The socks! I truly believe my kids have a plan to drive me insane with socks I find them everywhere. Under the bed, in the couch, in the hallway, the middle of the living room, and even 1 sock in my vehicle. One sock!!! How do you get out of the vehicle wearing one sock!?! I’ve said I’m going to collect them when I find them and then charge them a dollar a sock to get them back. But with my luck the wouldn’t care and find a way to get more socks to continue their plan. Hahaha! 😂
This is so funny! Socks, chargers and water bottles are definitely an issue in our house. Also- the smoothie cups; They make a smoothie then take the cup, lose it and now we can’t make a smoothie without those cups…errr Y’all are the best! Always excited to watch a new video
We've been keeping the cute plastic spoons from the local ice cream store for years. And the kids cups in restaurants. They last for quite a few uses and when they go missing or break, not too big a deal.
The fact that they had to go back and look for the things they actually lost trying to film this video complaining about the family losing stuff 😂😂 including the fit 🥾🥾 for the 🐍 s was my favorite part 😂 thank you guys for constantly reminding me not to take life so seriously 🤟
We were using paper plates and plastic utensils for every meal except on Sundays. One week we noticed that our nice flatware was missing several pieces. It turned out that my 3 year old son ( who helped clear off the table on Sunday night ) had thrown them in the trash like he had seen everyone else do with the plastic utensils.🤗😬... let's not get started on the phone and tablet chargers.smh
So Funny.. I was just talking about missing forks, socks and chargers this week. I never thought Brittany Spears, JayZ, ,Beyonce, snakes and mussel farming would be included in the same video lol 😂
I was having trauma moments just watching this, lol. The happiness of "losing" things then the realization that you actually lost things was all too real.

You know those math problems you read as a kid? Those crazy, improbable word problems, like... Sally has 15 gloves, and Mike has 18.... and you think... who ARE these people? Well, I grew up and had kids. Just two of them. That's it. And we could be those people. Because I think they have 20 water bottles between them. And yes, 15 and a half lids. And there are 5 tubes of toothpaste, somehow, for two children. And more hoodies than they could ever, ever wear. We are that math problem. This skit is SO true. XD

Oh my! This is my life! Forks, socks, chargers! I had 3 forks in my drawer last weeks. Then 5 suddenly appeared in my sink. Every weekend they disappear! It could be a squatter! 😀
I can't believe this one came up...just yesterday I was yelling where are all the forks going?!?! My husband went out and bought more to shut me up. But I really wonder if we have a floating black hole in our house.
I cracked up during the “official” video, but then totally lost it in the outtakes/recovery section 🤣 3/4 of us have ADHD in our house (my husband being the only one who doesn’t). We have lost SO many things. I used to joke that I had a standing, weekly date with the elementary school lost and found bin - until COVID shut parents out of the school and then all lost items just went missing for good 😭 And the socks. This skit is so 'on the money!' Cannot believe you two did not do this sooner! Loved it!
When Penn said " where have all the chargers gone" I could see him singing it to "Where have all the flowers gone". I guess I am showing my age.
😂😂😂♥️♥️
I'm so in love with this whole video. I love how you included the behind-the-scenes hunt for objects.
Where have all the chargers gone?
Long time passing.
Where have all the chargers gone?
Long time ago.
Where have all the chargers gone?
The girls have picked them every one.
Oh, When will you ever learn?
Oh, When will you ever learn?
🌼
This is hilarious!! I love that you know my life.
When I was teaching, I was always astonished when kids would lose coats and water bottles and so forth. I had one of everything as a kid and I would have had to find it if I lost it.
I love your videos.
Thanks for watching!
Academy award for perfect portrayal!
I'm actually kind of shocked a teenager would leave their phone behind
Thanks for posting the outtakes - I was wondering if there were any casualties of losing things
I loved this video especially with all of the behind the scenes!
It's our three granddaughters. We spend lots of time with them because we are a competive tennis playing family. The socks, the charging cords, and water bottles... Absolutely spot on, Kim.
Amazing that in a shoot about your kids losing things, you two keep losing things. Both halves of the video were hilarious though! 😂
I spend all day either looking for my tea or my sunglasses. While my kids have stuck stuff in weird places, I just seem to set things down wherever I stop. 😁
Watching the Iaundry bit about the socks (TRUTH!) I realized you need to do a video on just laundry.
Hahaha! 😂
I have no idea why the Holdernes videos don't have millions upon millions of views. Truly hilarious!!
This is so funny! Socks, chargers and water bottles are definitely an issue in our house. Also- the smoothie cups; They make a smoothie then take the cup, lose it and now we can’t make a smoothie without those cups…errr
Y’all are the best! Always excited to watch a new video
thanks for being here with us
It’s spoons and bowls in my house. I get you Kim.
My gawd, I feel like I'm constantly buying spoons and still can't find them!
Where is the weirdest place you've found a bowl?
We've been keeping the cute plastic spoons from the local ice cream store for years. And the kids cups in restaurants. They last for quite a few uses and when they go missing or break, not too big a deal.
@@holdernessfamilylaughs
In the trash. 🗑️
Don’t have a clue how they got there. 🤔
Yes,spoons and bowls!I bought a ton of plastic spoons …still never have any.Bowls…forget about it.I feel that they must go into a bowl vortex.
Thank you for helping us to laugh through the pain. It's real.
My son left his shoes at the park, didn’t even notice until the next day- and he was 12 😂
The fact that they had to go back and look for the things they actually lost trying to film this video complaining about the family losing stuff 😂😂 including the fit 🥾🥾 for the 🐍 s was my favorite part 😂 thank you guys for constantly reminding me not to take life so seriously 🤟
Ours was butter knifes and spoons, and my kitchen scissors. We homeschool, things shouldn't go too far, but I can never find the kitchen scissors!
🤣🤣 I was totally watching this thinking, those water bottles are going to be hard to find again! 😂 thanks for the behind the scenes!
"I would explain it but I don't even know how.... " 🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏
Penn's hilarious too lol
They're both hilarious I love these 😂😂😂
01:50 = I genuinely laughed out load at "You get a charger! You get a charger! You get a charger!" 😄
02:09 = I love, love, love those white those stiletto ankle boots! 😍
05:40 = Back and to the left. Back and to the left. Back... and to the left... 🎥
XD
This is hilarious 😅
Wow... Your most relatable video ever! Only right now I can't find spoons! 🤦🏼♀️ Among a number of other things like shoes. Between my kids and our puppy the struggle is real.
Love when you show behind the scenes!
You two are so creative. I get the whole fork thing, but mine is spoon's. Thank you for all the laughs you bring to us.
Glad we make you laugh
My husband zip ties all our chargers together, at our charging station. Those things ain't going anywhere 😂 Didn't realize it kept them from disappearing, but it works!
Hilarious outtakes. I can relate to the sock thing. My youngest leaves them everywhere!
So relatable 😂
Oh my! This is my life! Forks, socks, chargers!
I had 3 forks in my drawer last weeks. Then 5 suddenly appeared in my sink.
Every weekend they disappear!
It could be a squatter! 😀
We have tons of forks. It's the spoons that disappear at our house. "No one" has thrown them away accidentally.
I can't believe this one came up...just yesterday I was yelling where are all the forks going?!?!
My husband went out and bought more to shut me up. But I really wonder if we have a floating black hole in our house.
the sacrifices you make for making us smile :)
Thank you for the link back for "where have all the chargers gone?" which was the first of your videos I watched!
I cracked up during the “official” video, but then totally lost it in the outtakes/recovery section 🤣
3/4 of us have ADHD in our house (my husband being the only one who doesn’t). We have lost SO many things. I used to joke that I had a standing, weekly date with the elementary school lost and found bin - until COVID shut parents out of the school and then all lost items just went missing for good 😭
And the socks. Oh the socks. Did a deep five foot the room my 2 kids share over the holidays and there. Were. So. Many. Random. Socks. It was even worse than I had imagined 😳
I tried getting cloth bags for us to put socks in. We've just lost those too😒😂🤪
Glad we made you laugh 😁
We only buy socks that are the same so we never have to match them. Worth it! But yeah they still appear somehow everywhere.
@@juliec3437 😂😂😂
Thank you for the behind-the-scenes stuff!
