    This is similar to the multiple colored tile engravings that I have seen others do but this is a larger/cheaper medium. Sorry you had to go thru that many to figure out the settings but it cracked me up. I CAN RELATE!!!

    Can’t wait to try this. Does the top layer always have to be black?

    Is it possible you meant to say your speed was mm per minute. You said mm per second but 250mm a second is lightning fast is that correct? I have yet to get this process down, burned up many pieces, lol like you did at first. I have a simple black and white image I want to do on stretched canvas and can't sort it out for power and speeds to get it right. I am using a 7watt diode with lightburn and struggling. Any help if possible would be great. I have white canvas painted two coats of black and two coats of white. It's a simple image I want black with a white back ground, am I set up correct to get that?

    • @LaserNoob
      @LaserNoob  Год назад +3

      I always use mm/s. Best thing I can suggest is doing several small images at different speeds and powers and get as many on one canvas as possible to save material.

      @@LaserNoob I caught that too! About the mm vs Sc. In Light burn under one of the tabs where you set that it say’s seconds better suited for CO2 and Minutes under Diode I wonder if it really makes a difference? Or just another way of stating travel speeds. 😁🛫

    • @LaserNoob
      @LaserNoob  Год назад

      It's just a Lightburn thing. Xtools material settings page even has everything as MM/S. After all, MM/M is just MM/S multiplied by 60. So that setting itself makes zero difference to the laser. Cheers!!

      Yes. But laser etching painted canvas is a pretty popular project for people.

    Turning your DPI that high will not effect the outcome and may slow down the project. The xtool max DPI is 317 DPI or .08
