internationally ME and one thing from a kiwi, there are three types of kiwi: the bird the human and the fruit. So when you say youre going to eat the fruit, PLEASE make sure you say kiwiFRUIT or im going to ask you which one 😂 besides dont they do a jaffa run thing where they tip loads of jaffas down a hilly road? 😂💗
The best thing about whittakers chocolate is that it isn't over poweringly sweet. It's easy to chow down a huge bar without feeling sick..its a Naughty but super great treat! Lol
I live in New Zealand .. this is fun to watch lol ~ I used to wrk at the duty free store ... I have to say ... Japanese tourist loves cookie time 😂 they get them in big bunch ...
I'm so happy that a fellow New Zealander has passed on our all-time favourite snacks. Especially the onion dip :D.. Thank you Veneeta :D and thank you TabiEats for exposing our awesome treats.
Such a fantastic video guys! I really enjoyed watching this. As a kiwi, I love watching people eat things from NZ and this is one of the best! You pronounced lemon and paeroa so well too. ❤️
Out of all the videos of people eating my country's goodies you two were by far the best ones and had open minds throughout! Thank you for tasting and appreciating our food with respect.
Yay I am from Paeroa. I'm glad to see you both like L&P! This video definitely had all of our kiwi essentials! I love the new Whittakers chocolate range. So far I have tried the Kerikeri Orange with Fijian ginger, Wellington Roasted supreme coffee and the Waikato grown Aromatic Oolong tea Chocolates they are Devine! My favourite Cookie time is the Tripple chocolate flavour with white, milk and dark chocolate. I like to microwave mine for 20 seconds for a perfect gooey melted chocolate. I had no idea cookie time was in japan! I shall be hunting these fresh Cookies when I visit in 2020. I am so glad you liked all of our treats! 😊👌
My partners from canada and absolutely loves kiwi dip, infact she might of killed it for me, she's made it so much now. My partner made it for our Australian friend at a party and she wasn't to sure to begin with after watching my gf make it but after a few drinks she was using her finger to wipe the bowl clean 😂
I love how positive you guys are about everything!!! It's true that all us Kiwis love Onion dip and no our burgers don't taste like burger ring but maybe more like the sauce with onions we put on them. Best kiwi snack haul I have seen. Chur
Heyo, New Zealand represent. Haha as a kiwi I apologize for the false advertising on the burger ring packet. I've never tasted a burger like that either. It's more a savory pasta sauce taste.
im thinking they are called that because they are round, we have a few things similar like cheezels, cheeseballs, twisties so maybe they just needed a new name. They have nothing to do with burgers
I think the guy in the lab who mixed up the flavor just called it that because he needed a name and nobody challenged him on it, probably the boss's son or something
Guys, your reviews of treats from around the world is always captivating and most entertaining! This is another great show! The Cadbury Jaffas with orange and chocolate get my vote! Thanks guys!
It made me so happy to see Justin in today's video! It was a really fun video, with all the fantastic treats from New Zealand. They all looked really tasty. Thank you for the video, and have a wonderful weekend! :-)
Erin Uber I've always wanted a cat named Toby or Catherine (nickname Cat, lol) I grew up with dogs named Ming, Annie and Rena and cats named Samantha, Rita, Charlie, and Cleopatra.
Hi guys! 🌝 I'm a new subscriber from New Zealand. I really enjoyed your reactions to our NZ favorites. And an awesome choice of snacks the lady and her family who sent you's. Well done! ⚀♥️🇳🇿
in Ireland and the UK we have a cookie called Jaffa Cakes, they are a sponge base with orange jelly disc on top covered in dark chocolate. They are pretty popular in Ireland and the UK and mad their way over to Australia and New Zealand and i think most commonwealth countries. Try having those Jaffa candies while drinking black tea or English or Irish Breakfast Tea.
Hello from Auckland NZ. :) The cookie is best eaten when you microwave it for 20secs. ;D It's really nice of her to send them to you. Really enjoy the vid guys :)
@@downundabrotha Seriously was very dissapointed when they first came out and did NOT taste like burgers, but they taste so good anyway. Especially being feature in a What Now LOTR parody made it become way too popular with the kids, bouncing round with them on their fingers chanting "The one ring to rule them all" and "My sword, and my axe, and my rubber chicken!
OMG !! Whittaker's Peanut Slab is my absolute favorite from this brand. It has whole peanuts in it instead of chunks pieces of peanuts. Whittaker's chocolate is so yums .
When I was young (forty years ago) we used to get packets of Jaffas and Snifters when we went to the Cinemas, and almost everytime someone would lose control of their Jaffas, and they would bounce from the top seats right down to the bottom ... Jaffas became the thing to eat when watching a Movie. Jaffa became a flavour - choc/orange - Jaffa milkshakes are divine.
Nuka's Nook Yes! Jaffas were (are??) movie lollies! Haha “lose control” .... from what my parents tell me, they used to purposely roll their Jaffas down the sloped, wooden floor of the cinema in order to listen to the noise they made lol! I remember when they stopped making Snifters. That was a sad day! They were delicious! Remember the boxes they (and Jaffas) used to come in?
the good thing about watching someone that doesn't have english as their first language try New Zealand foods is that they're very respectful of the pronunciation.
Hey, love your videos! Just wanted to add some information: Jaffa is an old Israeli (Arabic) city that was famous for its oranges. You may know the British classic Jaffa cakes which are cookies with orange marmalade and chocolate...
I think the onion dip thing is actually pretty common in North America too? I've seen many quick/easy recipes where you just have to mix some onion soup powder with cream cheese, yogurt, mayonnaise or some kind of thick/whipped cream base, both in French (I'm from Quebec, Canada) and in English
Watching this video made me miss the time I was traveling New Zealand on a work and holiday visa! So much WINE >.< Thank you for another great video Shinichi and Satochi! Kanpai
Good to see you both enjoyed These goodies, so was fun to watch the positive reactions you guys had for our great snacks and sweets......And yes salt and vinegar goes so good with the dip! Next time you get to try a cookie time cookie pop it the microwave for 20 seconds, it is sooo good.
9:44 lmao Satoshi's face when Shinichi took the larger portion of that cookie!!! lmao someone send Satoshi another one so he can get the bigger one next time!
I recently got a package from NZ and it had a Whittaker's L&P chocolate bar. It was lemon-flavored white chocolate with pieces of popping candy. I loved it! I also got three other Whittaker's bars but I haven't tried them yet. The pineapple lumps are really good but my friend sent me some baby fish which were raspberry flavored marshmallow fish covered in chocolate. One of the best candies I've ever eaten.
Yeah a Japanese snack haul sounds great. I absolutely love spicy foods so I'd like to see what spicy snacks you guys have over there. Love your videos.

Thank you for giving such good reviews for New Zealand snacks. 本当にありがとう🙏🏾 I’m currently living in Japan and I really miss my kiwi snacks 😭 Especially onion dip, pineapple lumps, rashuns, burger rings and Whittaker’s chocolates 🥰
Best pronunciation of Paeroa yet on an NZ snack tasting, well done!
Lammington2 vowels are very similar
almost like they are descendant from the same area or something...
*cough* 1500 years ago *cough*
The vowel sounds in Japanese and Maori are the same that's why they pronounced it so well
Yeah oii, i swear every pākehā pronounces it like pi-ro-a
Satoshi's face after he gets the smaller piece of cookie is PRICELESS.
I know right ....lol😂😂😂
they should do like my mother when i was a kid lol whoever breaks or cuts it in half the other gets to pick which they want
Kaliis Smith. I see what you mean mate, I almost pissed my pants.
We should send Satoshi-san a bigger cookie and Shinichi a small one lmao
She sent you all the best snacks!!!! 😍 Haven't seen a New Zealand taste test on youtube better than this. You guys are awesome BTW!!!
The Japanese pronunciation of our Maori words such as Manuka is absolutely excellent for that alone they should be commended
Because we Japanese split words into 3 sections eg Manuka is MA-NU-KA, or Toyota is TOY-O-TA, if you can speak Maori you can speak Japanese
They pronounce their vowels the same way aswell.
Yayyyyyyyy New Zealand!!!! I love cookie time
Hey you're here ! Hi ~~ ^^

Loved everything we tried!
satoshi has cutest reaction
1st to the dip then the cookie
Japanese and Maori say their vowels the exact same. You nailed the pronunciation of Paeroa.
WhytyProd i was really happy when they said it right ahhh
Lol they said it correctly the first time, then I think they tried to correct themselves and ended up saying it wrong lmao
Some Maori & Japanese words are the same. 😉
Satoshi's reaction when he's getting the smaller piece of the cookie is literally me.

Erin Uber yea. I don't have any fur babies because I have 3 kids and we love around a lot. It wouldn't be fair to the animal.
Going to New Zealand on November and I'm so happy to watch this! Taking notes on these snacks so I can buy them. So excited! New subscriber here! 😄
