      I'd need to get the vmax some time soon. I'd need to find out if doogee planning to release another monster phone this year, then i would probably focus on upcoming one rather than getting vmax.

      @@FamilyPopTV I see. I have also seen rumors of the Unihertz Tank 2 beeing released in June/july too 😁 Hope it will get front facing speakers, a better SOC (Hopefully with 5G), 120hz screen with higher brightness and a better camera

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  Год назад +1

      @@Stephanox69 If Unihertz releases the Tank 2, I will probably buy it. I agree that a sound system that shoots in the face would be great, and a faster 6nm chipset would be nice (though it would reflect in the price). At least Sony optics and a sensor for the camera, and optimized software for the camera, preferably with EIS, would be great. It would be a killing machine then.
      As for Oukitel, I'm not sure if they will release a successor to the WP19 this year. I heard some rumors a while ago that there would be a WP19 Pro, but it's been quiet for months. Yesterday, I was contacted by one of Oukitel's representatives regarding a new budget-oriented phone, so who knows if Oukitel has changed its strategy and is targeting the budget segment of the market. We'll see.

      Thanks! I appreciate your comment.
      btw. The Unihertz Tank would be a considerable choice for a hiking phone if you're looking for a long-lasting battery, which also works as a power bank (and strong torch). However, it is important to note that the Tank is a bit on the heavy side, so when hiking the weight may be an issue..

      @DNFrozen1 Год назад +3

      to be honest it doesn't really matter. in the end you will just charge it at night.
      I have the oukitel WP19 for a few months now and i just charge it to 60% and almost never go under 40%. i could charge it more but keeping it around 50% most of the time will preserve the capacity for many many years

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  Год назад +2

      That's true, you'll keep the peak efficiency of the battery this way. Basically, safest range is 20-80% and within that range the battery will last.

    Only about 15 minutes more hmm that went really fast in the end for the tank

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  Год назад +2

      Hi. This is a common thing in most phones as the lithium batteries have a non-linear discharge curve, so the battery voltage drops more sharply as the battery gets closer to being empty.
      Another thing, the phones use more power when the battery is low, because the phone has to work h'arder ' o maintain the same level of performance, so the last 10-15% runs out much faster...

    • @Tenma_Gold
      @Tenma_Gold Год назад

      @@FamilyPopTV Well i knew about the last few % having to keep up with the performance, but the wp19 did not go out so fast or am i mistaken?
      Also i am almost just considering to just buy this phone as my Video watching device, as i feel like i am using my phone to much for video watching, and this might be a good alternative to get this phone to just watch RUclips, netflix and so forth.

    I was kinda looking for a phone that lasts longer than 25 hours, so this has upset me

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  5 месяцев назад

      well, I put some extreme strain on the battery here, no one really captures the videos for several hours straight. in a real life theres no definite amount of hours the battery would last, becasue it depends on how its being used, whether you running games, capturing vids or just browsing the web, also the screen brightness drains it faster, etc, etc.
      However, I found the battery vs components been optimised better in the more recent Tank phone (8849 tank 2 pro) than in the first iteration, but again, this is subjective and i didnt attempt to do the exact same test on it..
      Being off-topic now, I just got the ulefone armor pad 3 pro (tablet) for tests now, and its kinda frustrating - because in almost two weeks of use i havent had a chance to drain (and recharge) its freakin' 33,5k mAh battery. These monster devices getting even more ridiculous now..

      Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. I just bought unihertz tank 3, which is the biggest battery at the mo (almost 24.000mAh), but will need to take a look at ulefone (or will ask a representative if there's any chance to get an upcoming 'monster battery' phone for the assessment).
