For that size she moves pretty well. Not gigantism or acromegaly with medical issues, she looks normal. The tallest living female on the books is 7ft 0.7in, Zhang Ziyu is 7ft 3in!

for people who say that she travels a lot, look at her feet. after she catches the ball, 1 of her foot is always planted on the ground. she may make a few up and down movements, but the front of her foot still remains on the same spot.

Imagine if her coach could teach her to jump higher.

Her height and weight are more of a factor in the women's game, which tends to be more slow and plodding. Still, I wistfully imagine her going to the weight room, and developing her jumping ability and athleticism. If she could learn to do one handed explosive dunks off the dribble, she would be much more exciting. She seems to have a good, balanced body. .

In WNBA, she will always be called for travelling. Look all the replays. Many were not called because China was the host.

Man, what’s with all these nonsense comments? No handles? No skillset? Slow? Come on, y’all trippin’! She’s just 16 and already 7’3". That build makes her a natural center. You don’t expect her to move like a 6-footer, right? She’s not out here jumping all over the place because she doesn’t need to. She knows how to use her advantages. Can’t you see? No one can even reach her arms! This is how you dominate as a center. She’s playing her position like a pro at her age. You don’t drop 35+ every game without some serious skill.

As long as she stays healthy & doesn't crazily do too much too early, doesn't only have a season-ending injury but also a career-ending injury, she will do fine. But judging that her genetics comes from 2 tall people who both were also basketball players themselves, I suspect that factor itself of hereditary inheritance is just enough proof that she was meant to play this game & hopefully for many years. And she needs to maintain & strike a balance between her height & her weight, as that will become an issue over time into her senior years & possibly acquire foot problems because of it.

I see good coaching for her. It looks like they are telling her not to jump after what happened to Yao. China is careful with her as they also didn't call her up for the Olympics. Slow and steady is the way to go.

Except when basketball is played outdoors and there's lightning from thunderstorms...she'd be a very good lightning arrester...
