      Thanks so so so much for this your video and so many others. It will really be a great pleasure if I will play this video and some of your other videos in my recently opened shop to help educate customer the importance of sunscreen and boost the explanations I keep offering them. My shop is in Nigeria, despite the whether is so hot, there's an abysmal low rate of using sunscreen there. I am trying to see the possibility of introducing & encouraging buyers who would be coming to use sunscreen.
      And in all sincerity would give credit to this channel as my source, refer and encourage them to visit it.
      Once more thanks so much for the simplicity and clarity of your videos, anticipating your favourable response

    Is it true that there’s a certain time in the day when the sun is more damaging? Is there certain hours that it’s best to enjoy the sun?

    • @starletd6819
      @starletd6819 4 года назад +3

      Yes, midday around 10 am - 4 pm is when the UV and sun are the highest so you want to try and avoid going out during that time as much as possible. If you do however go out then make sure to wear sun-protective clothing and SPF. However, there are no certain hours to "best enjoy the sun". As long as the sun is up, it will always be transmitting harmful UV rays that damage your skin So no matter what time it is definitely make sure to wear SPF and try to wear sun-protective clothing.

    How long should we reapply sunscreen? I read the newspaper and they said that we should reapply sunscreen after 2 hour. But if we spent most of the time in the office , does it last longer? Sorry for my english :D

    • @DocUnlock
      @DocUnlock  5 лет назад +6

      You are right Duy - different situations will likely lead to different rates of sunscreen loss. As a general rule, if you are doing something active (like running or playing sports) then you will lose sunscreen very fast and reapplying every 2 hours is reasonable. But if you're mostly indoors (like in an office) but need some sun protection for occasional walks outside, then I would just apply some sunscreen in the morning (before leaving home) and then once again before lunch time. That way you'll have good sun protection during the times of day when UV levels are high.
      Of course, everyone is different so you may have different preferences. You can try experimenting with different routines and see what works for you :)

    I just realized pingu is on the blanket while you are in the ground, sitting xD
    A question: If I cover my body with thick clothings, is it enough? I wear abaya, niqab which is islamic dressing to cover full body and face. Do I need to use body sunscreen?

    • @DocUnlock

      Pingu always gets priority :)

    • @DocUnlock
      @DocUnlock  4 года назад +4

      Thick clothing is better than sunscreen for blocking UV! As long as the cloth is not thin, (ie it does not let light through even when held up against sunlight), it will do a good job of protecting the underlying skin from UV. Sunscreen is only required for exposed skin.
