I don't understand why people hated that Rey made a yellow lightsaber at the end of the sequel trilogy. What bothers me is that we didn't get to see her use it much in the movie, like Luke with his green lightsaber in ROTJ.
rey's lightsaber was built for a specific lightsaber combat style (i forgot which one) but basically in this fighting style you use a one handed lightsaber and your off hand to balance yourself, that or now every force power you're able to perform is now easily accessible bc you're not holding onto the lightsaber
This is the one I got for myself for Star Wars Nite. The button is annoying, but I've been getting used to it. Thankfully, it does clip on to the belt of my Rey dress. Can't wait until May the 4th 🥹 Great video!
I really like the look of Rey's saber, and I've always loved yellow lightsabers. I remember always picking Plo Koon in Jedi Power Battles because he had a yellow lightsaber. I really hope they release a toy of Leia's lightsaber soon. It's one of my favourite designs. Just a thought in regards to modifying the sabers for blade swapping. It seems like it might be easier overall to dremel out the bottom plate on the blades, instead of the inside of the hilts. The narrow space and limited light/visibility might be a hassle. Plus, modifying the blades, themselves, would make it so they automatically work on any future lightsaber releases. If you still modify a hilt, I think the Mace Windu one would be the coolest to see with diffcolour blades.
I don't know if the Leia saber is popular enough to get a toy version. But I'll be comparing four different versions of that saber soon, so stay tuned! It's a good point on the customization. Just a matter of whether you want to have to tamper with all of the blades vs just the one hilt you want to accept all blades. I think my plan is to use a pair of Ahsoka sabers for the experiment, so if it's too difficult to do the hilt on the first try, I may try the blade for the second try.
@@swcollectibles before AotC standardized lightsabers the Jedi all had unique and varied colours. Plo Koon had yellow, Adi Gallia had crimson, and Mace Windu had a blue lightsaber. Those colours were in merchandise like figures, toys, and games. So, Plo Koon had a yellow lightsaber in Jedi Power Battles.
Oh, I definitely will! It's cheaper online than in the parks, so my sets will arrive Wednesday. This is going to be a busy week for me, reviewing the Maul LE set, the Maul toy set, the Stellan crate, the new Kyber crystals, and the new BYO toy sabers. Stay tuned!
I am definitely overdue on that one. It’s been sitting by my desk for months, just haven’t had a chance to do a review yet. In the meantime, my buddy Order 66 Collectibles has a short review of it. m.ruclips.net/video/gJddmfXJMgQ/видео.html
@@Fanporiumam trying to get a luke Skywalker disney light saber Green for my sons birthday, do you know how i can get one. They only seem to be sold at the disney store in FL.
@@michael-4k4000 Yeah, it's only sold in the parks, unfortunately. On the Galaxy's Edge Discord, you can get a "smuggler" to buy it for you in the park and mail it to you for a 20% upcharge. Or go the eBay route. I keep hoping they'll release a removable blade version on Shop Disney, but no idea when or if that will ever happen.

Hey man, thanks for the review. By any chance, do you have any idea where to get Anakin's Episode III lightsaber (what they've named Rey's lightsaber) as of now? I couldn't find it anywhere on shop Disney for the States. Once again, thanks for the great review and your insights. Keeping my fingers crossed for the green Luke one.
The removable-blade version of that one is available on the UK site, but has been out of stock on the US site for several months. I'm hoping it just means they're getting ready to repackage it as Anakin or Skywalker (now that the yellow Rey shares the same name). But we'll see. The fixed-blade version is available in both the parks. (And on the SF Bay Area craigslist, from some dude who has 11 posts for the same saber. So annoying. lol) Review of the fixed-blade green Luke is about half filmed. Will go up within the next few days, work schedule willing.
No, the toy ligthsaber blades do not work with the Legacy lightsabers. If you watch my Ahsoka Toy video, you can see the difference between the connectors.
All of the Legacy lightsabers use the same blades, except for the new Ahsoka and Yoda bundles, which use two different sizes of screw-in blades. So Legacy Sidious and Legacy Vader do use the same blade. But Legacy and toy sabers do not use the same blades. So Legacy Sidious and Toy Vader do not use the same blades.
If it's young kids just playing around sparring, they hold up pretty well. If it's adults or older kids hitting super hard, or banging them against trees, you're likely to break a few of the LEDs (which is true for almost any blades with LEDs in the blade). My next video will have a photo of what they look like after taking a beating. A friend went to an escape room that had several that had been "well loved" and have dark spots where the LEDs were knocked out. Should go up later today or tomorrow.
I saw! I have it sitting right next to my desk, taunting me for not having made a review yet. I'm concentrating on reviewing 12 different versions of Ahsoka's sabers first, to align with the TV show. For the Rey, it's a fun thought to entertain. But with production lead times being what they are, this would have been in progress for months before I had my idea. But if I can help influence their product roadmap going forward, I'll happily do so. :-)
As b.e.toysandcollectibles said in his review, the lightsaber formerly known as the "Rey lightsaber" is now forever known as the Anakin Skywalker lightsaber. I consider that a victory over Disney and Kennedyfilm. 😎
IF it happens. Because Kathleen Kennedy has a bad track record of not getting any projects that she announces off the ground. - Rian Johnson trilogy - Benioff and Weiss trilogy - Patty Jenkins' *_Rogue Squadron_* film - *_Children of Blood and Bone_* adaptation (sent over to Paramount) - Damon Lindelof film And then production woes including: - *_Solo_* getting 90% done before firing Lord and Miller - Colin Trevorrow's *_Duel of the Fates_* film getting cancelled - *_Rogue One_* getting extensive reshoots - Sabotaging J.J. In my opinion, I preferred his one her double LIGHTSABERS in DUAL OF THE FATES
There are a few more known lightsaber colors, but they are just different shades of the other colors (except for orange) like cyan and magenta
